Great tour - One of the best tours I had in a very long time. Definitely the best one I took in London and I was visiting several times. Everything, from the coordination and warm hello from the person who waited with the flag, through the tour content, fantastic guide was top quality. The weather could be better but I suppose this is outside of the company’s control 😉 Thanks again I really enjoyed the tour.

Well managed and covered a lot - No crowds early in the morning and there were no lines to the tower facilities and the jewels after watching the entertaining opening ceremonies. Small group, plenty of time to see what we wanted, self guided. Tour guide talked to us about sites and history while on the river cruise and told us the good places to sit, found us the best places to stand while waiting for the Guard ceremony, gave complete and sensible meeting locations and times, and generally took very good care of our comfort and viewing enjoyment. Windsor Castle was lovely and the guide told us where to go first to see the most in our time there and when we needed to be back to the train. Mostly self guided tour so you would need to be comfortably independent in travelling around London to enjoy this tour. The guide did not get us from Buckingham Palace to Waterloo station, which was a bit scary, but we managed on the tube.

Great day learning about the Royal Family! - This was a great tour. Tour guide in the morning was extremely knowledgeable and knew where the best spots were to take pictures of the Changing of the Guard and Horse Guard at Buckingham Palace. Got to see the Opening Ceremony at Tower of London and was able to get right in to see the Crown Jewels because of this. The afternoon tour of Windsor was basically an escorted train ride to Windsor and a brief tour of the town with a guide but she was also fantastic and knowledgeable. Learned a lot about the past and present Royal Family. One suggestion is if you are taking this tour, make sure to route out your way from Buckingham Palace back to Waterloo ahead of time if you are not completely comfortable figuring out public transportation in the spur of the moment. The train back from Windsor is easy to catch and located a few minutes walk from the Castle, however Waterloo is further away from Buckingham Palace so requires a train, bus or cab there. There’s also quite a bit of walking in between locations of things (including brisk walking to catch the river taxi and when we were trying to get glimpses of the Horse Guard) so make sure you can handle this physically. Great time!!!

One of favorite tours we took while... -
One of favorite tours we took while in London. Allot of variety in this half day tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and tour was well paced and timed to see changing of the guard. We followed this tour with an afternoon tour to Windsor Castle. Best day of our five days in London! We had same excellent guide for both tours.

They were knowledgeable about all things royal and engaged the group with historical and fun facts. Windsor is simply amazing. It was my first time there and had a great time surrounded by the opulence of impressive treasures and art pieces.

I would give this five stars, if it... -
I would give this five stars, if it weren't for the Windsor Castle Tour bit, but I'll get to that. Josh was our guide for the Best of Royal London portion of the tour and he was stellar. Very informative and funny, as well! The beat the line first dibs on Tower of London was amazing go see the Crown Jewels first, because the crowd builds up quickly for that. I loved that we walked, it really gave you the opportunity to appreciate London, particularly St. James' Park, it was beautiful. It only drizzled at the beginning, nothing a hood on your jacket couldn't solve. I would recommend using the restroom on the water taxi that you take down the River Thames, there aren't frequent bathroom stops. The only portion of this trip that left a bad taste in my mouth was the small-group Windsor Castle Tour. We had trouble finding Waterloo Train Station which is up the stairs from the Waterloo Tube Station. The guide just did not seem like she wanted to be there. I don't remember her name. She got us onto a train, didn't talk to us very much. She walked us to Windsor Castle, got us tickets, in the door, failing to tell us that we only had TWO HOURS to see the entire castle before closing. And that was it. She left us there and definitely did not get a tip. It was disappointing to go from a guide as incredible as Josh to someone who actually did not care, like this woman. Best of Royal London gets five stars. Windsor Castle Tour gets one star, because of the guide.
