Experience it in its full glory on an exclusive nighttime tour as you head inside after the gates to the public have closed. As you explore the external grounds in the company of a Beefeater guard as your guide, you’ll uncover age-old secrets and tales of the Tower’s past before witnessing one of London’s most historic acts: the Ceremony of Keys.
- Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.
- Sites on this tour are subject to occasional closures. If modifications are needed and time permits, we will reach out to you prior to your tour. For last-minute closures, modifications may be communicated at the tour start time.
- Full names of all participants need to be entered when booking for security.
- This tour does not include access to the Crown Jewels or access inside the buildings. This is a tour of the Grounds only and The Ceremony of the Keys.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a green Walks sign. This tour meets at 3 Tower Place, London EC3R 5BT. Meet your coordinator for check-in at the West Gate entrance, which is opposite the Starbucks and in front of the Tower of London giftshop.

A must do experience! - This was a fantastic experience! The Yeoman Warder that took us through the grounds and to the Key Ceremony was phenomenal! He had so much wonderful information from the history to daily life at the Tower of London. I’ll be honest I hesitated a bit when I saw the cost, but I’m so happy I booked this experience.

Barney the Beefeater - Barney the Beefeater was brilliant, his knowledge was fantastic and delivered in an amusing manner.
There were some poor bits regarding the viator organisation of the event, we were requested to redeem our tickets from a location that didn’t have a clue about why we were there, the viator representative only checked our names off his list.
Being able to actively take part in the Ceremony of the Keys was awesome.

Spectacular! - This was hands down the best tour I've ever been on in my entire life, regardless of country. We had a small group of 10, and a wonderful Yeoman Warder as a tour guide, and the ceremony of the keys was the icing on top of the cake. We'll worth the price!

Beefeater Clive is super knowledgeable - Beefeater Clive was amazing. We learned more in the 90 minutes than in a day tour. It was the perfect size group. We went and saw things that a small group could see

Evening Tour with City Lights - Loved doing this tour after dark with all the city lights in the background. Also, this was a small group and easy to hear and follow the Beef Eater tour guide. The end with the changing of the guard was a highlight. Highly recommend this tour. Only downside was that we didn't get to see the Crown Jewels.

SPECTACULAR - The personalized tour by the actual Watchman. The Ceremony was SPECTACULAR, and I was able to enjoy every minute of it because no photos were allowed.
The mini tour of the Tower of London and Chapel were a Bonus.

A trip highlight - This was the best experience of our trip. The Yeoman was so informative and the group small which allowed for a really great experience. We were able to see places and hear stories that not all visitors have the good fortune to experience. Absolutely wonderful.

Intimate and special. Do not miss this!!! - Out of the 5 tours we did on this trip, the VIP Tower of London After Hours and Ceremony of the Keys was by far our favorite. Our Beefeater guide, Paul, was so interesting and full of information about both the history of the Tower and life inside the tower currently. The Ceremony of the Keys was so special and it felt like an honor to be there to witness something that has been happening for 700 years. I highly recommend this intimate experience.

Tower of London Keys ceremony - Our guide was absolutely marvelous and the site itself is fascinating. However, we had to stand behind another group of 50 people and were unable to see most of the actual Ceremony of the Keys, which was disappointing.
