Unique supplement to a visit - The ceremony of the keys part was great. Guide/Beefeater was fun. Should state that this doesn't substitute for a day at the Tower. But still a great time.

Good but way too expensive for what it was - We enjoyed the key ceremony at least what we could see of it too many people to be able to see the whole ceremony. The tour was nice but a bit expensive considering you only saw the outside of some of the buildings and not even a viewing of the Crown Jewels

Good Tour, deceptive advertising - I really enjoyed the tour. I liked hearing about the history and seeing the ceremony of the keys was special. However, for anyone like me who did not read all the fine print, the very LAST thing at the bottom of "know before you go" tells you that you won't be seeing the crown jewels and I thought with it being mostly outside we'd see the ravens, but you don't see those either. It was still a great tour and I really liked our guide, but it is a lot of money to spend to not see two very big highlights of the tower. It's definitely deceptive to put that at the very bottom and not on the top. They tell you to bring an umbrella before they mention that part. I'd pay half of what I paid, maybe 3/4 of what I paid for what I actually got. Nothing against the yeomen, he was fantastic and it certainly isn't his fault that the website is deceptive. But just keep that in mind when deciding if the tour is worth it for you or not.

Guide left without us - We contacted the tour operator well in advance, saying that our travel plans got delayed (due in part to unforeseen medical issues) and that we would be arriving at the tour 5 minutes late. We actually arrived only 2 minutes late, but the guide was already gone. Having paid $658 for a VIP tour, I would have expected to have the guide give us at least a 3-5 minute grace period to arrive. The security guard who was still there let us know that the guide left a few minutes earlier. There was no way for us to contact the guide and the guide didn't try contacting us to see if we were on our way. We were really looking forward to this excursion and this really ruined our whole trip.
