Highlights
  • Windsor Castle - Your coach will leave from the designated meeting point at 8am sharp – make sure you’re there minimum 15 minutes before to check in! The first stop of your adventure will be the world’s oldest and largest occupied castle, Windsor Castle, where you will arrive at approximately 9:30am. With its sweeping landscaped gardens and a striking round tower, it’s easy to see why Windsor Castle is King favourite weekend residence. Enjoy wandering through the lavish State Apartments - home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt, Leonardo da Vinci and many more - and visit the beautiful St. George’s Chapel, the final resting place of former monarchs including Henry VIII and the wedding venue of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! - St. George’s Chapel - Step inside St George’s Chapel, located on the sprawling grounds, where notorious King Henry VIII and his favourite wife, Jane Seymour, are buried, as are Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. St. George’s Chapel is one of the finest examples of gothic architecture in England. It has been the setting for many royal weddings and is the burial place of ten sovereigns. The Chapel is dedicated to the patron saint of the Order of the Garter. Britain’s highest Order of Chivalry. St. George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services. These occur at the following times: 08:30 – Holy Communion 10:45 – Mattins and Sermon 11:45 – Sung Eucharist 17:15 – Evensong - Windsor Guildhall - This 17th-century historic masterpiece building is situated in the High Street, only 100 metres from Castle Hill. Prince Charles married Camilla Parket Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall at Windsor Guildhall in 2005. - Stonehenge - The true meaning of this ancient, awe-inspiring creation has been lost in the mists of time. Was Stonehenge a temple for sun worship, a healing centre, a burial site or perhaps a huge calendar? How did our ancestors manage to carry the mighty stones from so far away and then, using only the most primitive of tools, build this amazing structure? Surrounded by mystery, this prehistoric monument never fails to impress! - Bath Abbey - Standing proudly on the slopes of the River Avon, beautiful Bath was the first city in England to be a designated UNESCO World Heritage site in its entirety. The city’s stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture, the gorgeous 15th century Bath Abbey and the romantic Pulteney Bridge (modelled on Florence’s Ponte Vecchio) are all sights you’ll want to linger on! - Pulteney Bridge - Pass by the romantic Pulteney Bridge, modeled on Florence’s Ponte Vecchio. - The Roman Baths - No tour of Bath would be complete without a visit to the famous Roman Baths that gave the city its name. This beautifully preserved bathing complex still flows with water from Britain’s only hot spring. Get a glimpse of how the Romans liked to unwind and see for yourself if Bath’s waters really do have healing powers by tasting a sip in the Pump Room, a stunning neo-classical salon. - *Golden Tours - Golden Tours is London’s foremost sightseeing company. Very quick tour of three historic sites - Oliver and Walleed were great. If your focus is on Bath I would suggest taking a Bath tour instead of the three combined, we had to move very quickly though all the sites, but Stonehenge and Windsor were just about right.

Awesome Day Trip from London! Thanks Pauly & Ashley! - I booked this trip through Viator and took it through Golden Tours on July 11, 2024. I had an amazing experience! My number one tip is to get there early! My tour was supposed to start at 8:00am. When I arrived at the meet up location at 7:40am, there was already a bus loaded and ready to go. Since I was a solo traveler, I was able to take the last seat on that bus and we left at 7:40am. I’m not sure what time the others on my bus arrived, but clearly 7:40 wasn’t early enough if you have a group. Leaving 20 mins before the other buses was HUGE in making my experience positive. It means we were some of the first people to enter Windsor Castle and got to see more than the people on those other buses. It also meant I got the incredibly guide Pauly and driver Ashley. They knew all the tips and tricks to make the day successful! When you leave the meeting spot in central London, it’s about a 30 min drive to Windsor Castle. So we were there pretty early considering the castle doesn’t open until 10am. Well Pauly walked us through the town while pointing out where to grab a sandwich for lunch later and repeatedly reviewing how to get back from the castle to the bus. While we waited in line (and watched hundreds of people get in line behind us), Pauly informed us about the castle and gave tips for how to save time inside and what to hit first. Security opened up around 9:30am and then I went to the state apartments. When those doors opened at 10:00am, I was the 10th person to walk inside. All thanks to Pauly and his advice. The state apartments were grand and elaborate. Second I went to St George’s Chapel. I was able to go inside and saw where Queen Elizabeth is laid to rest. We only had 1.25 hours in the castle before we had to be back on the bus. It does feel like a time crunch, but Pauly assured us that this is a tapas tour, a taste of everything. We all grabbed sandwiches from cafes outside the castle to eat on the bus on the way to Stonehenge. That was the way to go because the Stonehenge food choices were not great. We drive 1 hour 20 mins to Stonehenge, where we had 1.25 hours to explore. I did not feel rushed there at all. It was plenty of time to admire the stones, take pictures, and use the bathroom. Then we drove 1 hour to Bath. We had about 1.5 hours in Bath. I spent about half of that time in the Roman Baths and half the time wandering idyllic streets. Then we drove 2.5 hours back to central London. What stood out to be here was that Pauly took the time to check in with every group on the way home. He made sure that everyone knew how to get back to their hotels and gave dinner recommendations based on where they were going. I’ve never seen a tour guide show that level of care and hospitality! Anyway, the tour is wonderful. It’s hectic at times, but there’s no other way to get to all 3 amazing places. This tour was definitely worth it!

The Experience of a Lifetime - The tour was amazing. Apple was chill and very informative. Pavel did a smooth job driving. I'll never forget the "Fields of Barley". As I look back on my European vacation, this is the experience that comes to mind most. Many thanks to Apple and Pavel for enlightening me with their professionalism, expertise, and kindness.

Great time on this tour. Windsor Castle was a highlight - Great time on this tour. Windsor Castle was a highlight. Bath was also fun but we did not go into the Roman Baths. The town was very cute. Stonehenge worth seeing but I didn’t need a lot of time there. Apolonia (guide) and Gokan (driver) did a great job!

Short well-orchestrated visit to three iconic sites. - If you’re only in London for a short time but want to see Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath, this is the tour for you. Our guide Ivan and our driver Sokol did a tremendous job by getting us there early and keeping us on schedule.

A big disappointment! Never recommend the guide named Oliver and golden tours! They are only inerested in doing the job and that - Big disappointment, rude arrogant guide Oliver just gave information on the bus and left us travel the places on our own! Time was never enough and he wouldnt wait for the ones who were late! Instead of enjoying the history and the beauty of the places we were really stressed about the time.. and we had to ask other tourists and staff about how to get along around the places we visited.

Slightly disappointed - The check in process could be drastically improved with some signage. Our guide was a cynical jerk who needs to quit and find another job. “Just a bunch of stones.” The shuttle at Stonehenge took a very long time and we barely had time to walk around before we had to rush back. Bath was SO crowded we could not enjoy at all.
