Lots of WWII information - This was a great read out with a lot of information regarding WWII. The War Rooms were an excellent way to end the tour. There is a 90-min walking tour around Westminster prior to the War Rooms so keep that in mind.

Insightful and Delightful - Just when I thought my tour experience could not be any better, along came Francis to guide us around London sharing his knowledge of WW II. Bonus insights on his time at New Scotland Yard and his personal experiences made the morning insightful and delightful.

War rooms cool, guide made up information along the tour that are maybe urban legends at best? - Well- the trip was fun and interesting- except we later looked up several of the stories the guide gave us that turned out to be complete falsehoods. For example: 1) "Soldiers were required to smoke two packs per day for their health of their lungs- or they would be punished by their stories" (we can find nothing to substantiate this and several things to refute it) 2) "Lincoln's statue is on a Kentucky soil" (apparently, there is a legend that this was true for a Washington statue- but not for Lincoln's) 3) "It is illegal to protest in England right now" (patently false- unless it is destructive to people or property- consistent with US) 4) "It is illegal to predict the death of the monarch" (false, unless it is done as a threat to the specific monarch) 5) "Churchill only did the peace sign backward (the offensive way) - and any pictures of him doing the peace sign properly have been edited by the media" (no, and images from Getty show different pictures different ways) Again, we enjoyed the trip- but we came to learn new things about GB- and several of the facts seemed false and gave me pause enough to look them up. The war rooms are very cool and come with a recorded audio guide.
