Wonder full-day tour to the best part of England. - Wonder full-day tour to the best part of England. Enjoyed the driver commentary, the towns were in, the boat tour, the train tour and more. Glad I did this. Could not reach these places easily or not at all on my own.

An unforgettable experience - We chose The Mountain Goat for the day trip to the Lake District. The driver cum guide was Jean, a very friendly and professional lady. She was very punctual and knowledgeable who poured in all the necessary details throughout the trip. Her experienced approach helped us dodge several rain clouds and we could make the most of day long trip. The journey was smooth and picturesque. Once out of the Manchester city the country side landscape is all rolling greens dotted with white cattle and clear blue sky. We reached Bowness by the lake Windermere, the largest lake of England. Very pleasant and windy. The cruise took us to the southern most tip of the lake. A railway carriage with heritage steam engine was waiting for us. We disembarked at Haverthwaite where we meet our guide. She took us through the winding country roads along the lake Coniston, the 3rd largest lake of England. The view was magnificent as we headed to Hawkshead, a chocolate box quaint village with charming character. This is a fairy tale place in reality. We bought some ingenious signature chocolate and caramel from the country and headed bavk to Manchester. This is a memorable trip and strongly recommended to all fellow travellers.

A great day trip to the Lakes - Was a great day trip and excellent way to have a taster of the Lakes District. The small bus and driver (Scott) were great. Ferry and train ride were unique and something different. Only element if I could change one, would be the last stop of the trip (Hawksmede) could be a stop thats shortened or missed. All in all a great day out.

Excellent Tour and Guide in not so great weather - Pickup point was beside a ncp. The map shows inside the car park but the tour van was parked alongside it with a mountain goat logo so you won’t miss it. The tour was fully booked so we had a total of 16 tourists plus 1 driver/guide. Scott, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable and made everyone welcome. I would say this tour, besides the Manchester Clubs tour, is a must take tour. A tour of the Lake District, with a boat and choo choo train ride included. A chance to see English country life and houses and the beauty of nature. Who can resist? Unfortunately for our group, it rained the whole day non stop. It happens and it sux but luckily for us we had Scott driving and guiding. He used his experience and initiative to keep the tour going and keep it interesting. Successfully if i do say so. He brought us to little nooks where tours don’t normally go on better weather, to make up for the rain. Its not a great diversion till it break company rules but enough to at least cheer up those in the minibus who might be less cheerful cos of the weather. All in all, it was an excellent tour for us and i believe for the others too as i did not see any grumpy faces or discontent murmurings. Mountain Goat is definitely very professional and its assets are the guide/drivers there. Would i go on a Mountain Tour again in future? Definitely yes. The whole family enjoyed every minute of it (eyeing the Wales tour). Thanks once again for a memorable tour Scott. From the guy in the F1 polo shirt 😊

One of the best tours I’ve ever experienced. - A+ 100% awesome!!!! Scott, our guide was an absolute boss! I was a little late arriving and very nearly missed the bus, but I managed to get aboard and the fun began! He’s an excellent driver, game very clear and concise instructions, constantly pointed out little jewels for us to make notes about, and stopped or slowed down enough to take photos whenever he thought we might want to do so. The entire trip was a BLAST! Thanks for making this trip through the Lake District so memorable!
