- Please note the heritage railway is only available 1st April - 29th October, during the winter the tour will include a lake cruise only. This is reflected in the price.
- From the 29th October 2024 cream tea will be included in the tour at Lindeth How in place of the train.

One of the best tours I’ve ever experienced. - A+ 100% awesome!!!! Scott, our guide was an absolute boss! I was a little late arriving and very nearly missed the bus, but I managed to get aboard and the fun began! He’s an excellent driver, game very clear and concise instructions, constantly pointed out little jewels for us to make notes about, and stopped or slowed down enough to take photos whenever he thought we might want to do so. The entire trip was a BLAST! Thanks for making this trip through the Lake District so memorable!

The beauty of nature - This was a great way to see the Lake District if you are not a hiker. The scenery was amazing and Paul was an amazing guide. Definitely a must see during a visit to the UK.

Truly, your hosting made this trip a special one apart from the lovely scenes we were taken to in the Lake district, we really appreciated your personal touch getting to know the guests.

This was a great trip. I... - This was a great trip. I had an extra day in Manchester and was looking for something interesting to do. I just spent three weeks backpacking through Wales. I did this tour and was very impressed. The guide was very good. Her name was Jean and I saw in one day almost what took me a couple weeks of backpacking to see in Wales. This was great.

Fantastic day trip to Lake Windermere - Fantastic trip. Small group of delightful people. Jean and Daniel (driver) were fantastic. The boat cruise was fantastic as was the train journey. It was unfortunate that we had a cold and windy day but we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Thank you Mountain goat tours. Definitely will be booking for another tour shortly.

Perfect tour of exploring the Lake District - It is my first time of visiting Manchester and the Lake District. It is definitely a perfect tour to join for exploring the stunning view of the Lake District. The office staff in The Mountain Goat is nice of solving my enquiry. I would like to specially have a great appreciation on our tour guide and driver – Scott. He is definitely passionate in his job and showing his enthusiasm for introducing the Lake District. He also tried to remember each of us in the tour. What a great tour!

Reminiscing of times gone by. - What a wonderful experience we had. Colin our driver was a marvel. Great customer service skills. Fantastic weather all day. Typical Manchester weather on the way home. Showed us places of interest. I highly recommend this trip.
