We joined this tour as this is a... - We joined this tour as this is a small group tour, only 6 people. We liked this tour because our driver picked us up at every historical site within minutes. The car used to tour us was new and comfortable. Our driver was good and patient, he even drove us to a Starbucks to buy mugs with Athens city Logo. Would highly recommended this tour to those people who want to visit historical sites on their own and those who want to get ride of the bad experience of taking hop on hop off bus.

Our guide picked us up on time from... - Our guide picked us up on time from our cruise terminal. There were four of us in a well presented and clean van. In my opinion this is the best way to get around Athens if you're on a time limit as the traffic and crowds can eat up sightseeing very quickly. A guide was friendly and courteous and provided some history of some of the less obvious attractions. A pleasant day but would hate to be in Athens in peak tourist season.

Great trip. Six of us enjoyed... - Great trip. Six of us enjoyed seeing the highlights of Athens our driver was excellent giving us a day to remember. We even managed to catch the changing of the guard.

Our driver was Dimitri sorry if... - Our driver was Dimitri sorry if spelling is not correct. He was FANTASTIC!! He took us to all of Athen's must see sights, and was very knowledgeable! He spoke very good English, and was very thoughtful and polite, and extremely accommodating as one of us was 83 years old! He showed us the best place to go shopping and he was always just around the corner if we needed him! It was just the 3 of us and Dimitri ..... this is absolutely the ONLY way to experience Athens!! Thank you Dimitri, and thank you Viator for hooking us up with Dimitri ... we cannot say enough good about him and our tour ..... a highlight of our entire trip to Europe!!

Our guide was amazing. He showed up... - Our guide was amazing. He showed up on time and was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. He also asked for feedback to ensure that we saw what we wanted to see and that we were happy. He showed us all there was to see in 4 hours !!!

Private Athens tour - Great driver interaction. Very personal approach and got to see all of the sights without being in a large tour group. The biggest disappointed was the private driver car was a taxi not a private car as thought.

This tour worked out well for us... - This tour worked out well for us. We were picked up at the ship by Mikel and he drove us to the different sights in Athens we needed to see. He waited for us as we toured the Pantheon and then took us to other sights that fit into the four hour time schedule. The four hours seemed to be enough time and Mikel was very polite and opened the doors for us at all stops. The value for this tour was well priced. Mikel was a driver only, as we opted for a tour without a guide, however, although Mikel tried very hard to explain things to us, his new English skills did not allow him to provide us with as much insight as we hoped. Perhaps having a guide as well in this situation would have been more helpful. Overall, a good experience.
