Highlights
  • Mouse Island - At the entrance of the Halikiopoulos lagoon is located one of the most famous sights of Corfu, but also of the whole of Europe, which is none other than the much-photographed Pontikonisi - Mouse Island. Its name impresses even after so many years of fame. The area of Kanoni and Mouse Island has been for centuries a source of inspiration for many artists while at the same time there has been a scene in major productions of Greek and foreign cinema.

Holy Monastery of Panagia Vlacherna

This picturesque church was built in the 17th century and around 1980 it was abandoned by the last monk who lived there. This is a very small religious church with a two-storey bell tower that “floats” on the footbridge.

  • Kaiser’s Throne - Emperor Wilhelm the 2nd was attracted by Corfu Island. Consequently he decided in 1907 to buy the Achilleion Palace from Princess Sissy of Austria and create it his residence on the island. As he actively assisted in the excavations of Agios Theodoros in Garitsa bay, there are many buildings and landmarks that bear his name, such as the beautiful Kaiser Bridge which was built for direct access from the Achilleion Palace to the beach which was partially destroyed during the Second World War

Shortly before his death, during 1914, he decided to leave a viewpoint as a unique gift for the locals and visitors to the island. That was his private observatory, where he found peace and enjoyed the amazing vista and breathtaking, surrounding beauty of oil-rich Corfu.

The Kaiser’s observatory or throne attracts visitors from all over the world for its stunning views and the detail that makes it stand out.

  • Palaiokastritsa - One of the most famous attractions of Corfu are the caves of Paleokastritsa, each of them has a mystery surrounding it. One of them is named Nausicaa, the name of the daughter of the king of Corfu who saved Odysseus the king of Ithaca as described by Homer in Greek mythology. Enjoy this unique experience with us and we can definitely tell you that this unique environment with its crystal clear waters will blow your mind.

An amazing boat experience with transparent turquoise crystal waters in Paleokastritsa awaits you. We will help you board the small boat to explore the central west coast which is full of rock formations and small caves. Travel with us to this legendary area where there is another surprise… due to the small size of the boat we will go inside the caves.

  • Paleokastritsa Monastery - The church is of single aisled basilica rhythm with a wooden roof and it is considered a sample of the monastic architecture. A typical bell-tower of Ionian style is located in the courtyard. Priceless pictures of Byzantine and post-Byzantine period decorate the interior, while a sample of the wealth of the monastery one can also notice in the small museum that operates in its interior. In the museum of the Monastery of Palaiokastritsa you will also see a skeleton of a whale which is said to have killed a fisherman during the 19th century.

In the 19th century, during the British rule the monastery was used as a military hospital, while during the same period the road towards the Monastery of Palaiokastritsa was constructed.

  • Lakones - The village of Lakones is literally “hung” on the edge of the cliff. The view from above is breathtaking and is probably the most beautiful on the whole island. The green color of the olives and the pines “embraces” the endless blue of the sea and the rocky coastline and the spectacle is more than shocking.

Almost all visitors to the island of Corfu visit this place to gaze at the unique view and take the most valuable photo of their lives.

  • Enotis - Olive Groves & Museum - At the heart of a Corfiot olive grove, we will meet the owners of a unique oil press that will happily inform us on the certain features of the Corfiot olives and olive oil as well as the unique olive variety, being cultivated on the island of Corfu, they will introduce us to the well-kept secrets of a good olive oil producer, and they will also talk about the socio-economic and historical role that olives play in the life of Corfiot’s. Finally, they will not forget to emphasize the healing properties of olive oil.

Our tour will be a throwback to the past, when oil producers used to use big, rotating stone wheels driven by animals to grind oils as well as we will see old pressers, containers for the storage of olive oil and a wide variety of original tools and vessels of that era.

Finally, we will have the chance of olive and olive oil tasting, accompanied by local products, while we will learn how to distinguish the special features of Corfiot olive oil like Corfiot’s do.

  • Corfu Town - A pleasant walk through the historic center of Corfu, where three nations meet, connecting the East and the West.
The old town center of Corfu, belonging to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, constitutes a unique, world-famous site that never fails to captivate visitors.

The old town of Corfu boasts numerous impressive and world-famous sites, each having its own unique historical development: tall fortresses, considered to be unapproachable, which contributed to the defense of the island against potential conquerors and magnificent palaces, still maintaining their power and magnificence; museums of historic significance and great architecture, old mansions and colorful houses constructed with the Venetian style, famous cosmopolitan squares and magnificent churches, indicating the strong religious beliefs of Corfiot’s.

Amazing Day in Corfu - We had the best tour with our guide, Eleanna and driver, Bill. Both were warm and friendly and welcoming. We had a ton of laughs all while seeing all Corfu has to offer. We ended our tour with a lunch at Apomero, (also truly amazing) where Eleanna and Bill showed us how to order like locals. I highly recommend booking this tour. You won’t be disappointed!

A Dreamy Day in Corfu - We had the absolute pleasure of taking a private tour of Corfu with Eleanna and it was nothing short of fantastic, deserving nothing less than 5 stars! From the moment we started, Eleanna was exceptionally welcoming and friendly, making us feel instantly at home. Her obvious love and pride for Corfu was contagious and immediately set the tone for what was to come. One of the key highlights was an extraordinary boat tour to explore the island’s stunning caves. Our visit to the olive oil museum was fascinating and informative. The museum shop was a delightful surprise, with top-quality products that offered a small piece of Corfu to take home. We also stopped for a relaxing break with drinks and snacks at a charming local spot. Here, we had the best kumquat pie I have ever tasted. It was the perfect blend of tangy and sweet — a must-try when in Corfu. Eleanna further enriched the tour with personal anecdotes about her life and the island’s culture during our visit to a breathtaking local church. Her tales painted an intimate picture of Corfu, making the experience all the more special. If you are seeking a well-rounded, captivating, and personal tour of Corfu, Eleanna should be your first choice. Her kindness, enthusiasm for her homeland, and her intimate knowledge of Corfu left us with cherished memories and a deep appreciation for this wonderful island. Highly recommended!

A great way to see Corfu - This was an amazing tour and a great introduction on our first day in Corfu. Everything was so well organised (and included) from the coffee stop, ice creams and the lunch at the Apermaro Taverna - all perfect and could not have been better. Must also that our driver and Eleanor our guide for adding the little bits that made the trip special. Can thoroughly recommend, no hesitation and thanks to all at The Corfu Experience.

Worth the time and money! - What a gift it was to have Eleanna and Bill escort us to experience such a varied slice of Corfu in one day. We chose this as an early component of our 2-week visit to Corfu to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Their warmth and knowledge combined to create a great memory for us. They gave great advice on other places to visit. They struck the perfect balance between engagement and giving us time as a couple. If you want to know the best beach in Corfu - Eleanna will be glad to share it with you. We listened to her and are so glad we did ! We even ran into her at the beach a few days after our tour :) A private tour like this is understandably not affordable for everyone. However, there is nothing better you could splurge on if you have never been to Corfu and want to experience a broad swath of Corfu life.

The Durrells meets James Bond Tour - What an amazing day out! It's so nice to have the whole day planned out, not a worry in the world, just turn up (or should I say be picked up) and just take it all in. We went on a James Bond/Durrells themed tour and I could not recommend it enough. We visited many great sights including The Holy Monastery of Panagia Vlacherna, Mouse Island, Achilleon Palace, Kaiser's Throne, Danilia Village, Spiros James Bond Cafe and finally an all inclusive and delicious lunch at The White House (The Durrells family home). Our guide Xenia was fantastic and had a wealth of knowledge. You can see she really passionate about the island and the excitement shows everytime she talks about it. Our driver Bill was equally as fantastic, a gentleman who always opened my wife's door and navigated the narrow Corfiot roads smoothly and carefully (unlike some of the "passionate" cab drivers we've had!) Thank you such an amazing day! Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent private Corfu tour - Excellent private tour in a minivan with Christos as the driver and Eleanna as the guide for the three of us. We were picked up at our accommodation in Kalima and spent over 7 hours touring the Northern region of Corfu. While not the most inexpensive tour it had many inclusions we did not need to pay extra for. Being a private tour Elanna was very adaptable and we added a mountain stop in a little village (in an amazing thunderstorm) and a stop at a magnificent Olive farm. The only stop we could have missed was the Kumquat liquor and Limoncello tasting - which was really a standard tourist bus stop to try and get you to shop in the store. All in all, an excellent day out with great driver and guide and also a lot of fun. Highly recommended indeed!

Great use of my time I’m a horrid travel snob. I’ve been everywhere and usually first cabin.A day synopsis of Corfu. - never go on these tours. It just not my cup of tea as a world traveler I as some snooty travelers think I could see it on my own. Wrong. This was fantastic the you're guides magic and not chatty it went smoothly two boat rides many car stops and all seamless. Left on time home on the dot non rushed lunch.Eleanna and Chis were combo rally driver and magic hostess. A great adventure and I question have I been missing this in the 100s of trips around the world. Great job on Corfu Experience. Sincerely Mark Rokovich

Day long tour of Corfu - We took a semi private tour of Corfu that lasted all day. Our guide was Elleana and our driver was Chris. They are locals from Corfu and showed us many iconic places. They were welcoming and knowledgeable about the history and people of Corfu. Although a pricy tour, it was well worth the time. We enjoyed the sights and the coffee breaks in spectacular locations. A late lunch was very good. We booked through the Corfu Palace Hotel.
