Highlights
  • Goreme Panorama - The Göreme panoramic viewpoint captivates visitors with its stunning views of Cappadocia, especially during sunrise and sunset. This spot offers the best way to appreciate the beauty of the Cappadocia valleys, the unique fairy chimneys, and the colorful balloons in the sky. Although it can get quite crowded, the panoramic viewpoint is perfect for those looking to relax and enjoy an unforgettable view.

  • Uchisar Castle - Uchisar is a troglodyte village located 4 km east of Göreme, renowned for its massive rock formation that once served as a fortification. This impressive rock, the highest peak in the region, provides a breathtaking panoramic view of Cappadocia with Mt. Erciyes in the distance. Many rooms in the castle are interconnected with stairs, tunnels, and passages, featuring millstone doors at the entrances to control access. Due to erosion, not all rooms are accessible, but the north side still houses pigeon houses (dovecotes) used by farmers to collect pigeon droppings, an excellent natural fertilizer for orchards and vineyards.

  • Goreme Open-Air Museum - The Goreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Cappadocia, Turkey, is a complex of rock-cut churches, chapels, monasteries, and other religious buildings from the 10th to 12th centuries. Originally a Byzantine monastic settlement, the buildings were carved into the natural rock formations. The frescoes and artwork inside depict biblical scenes, offering a unique glimpse into the region’s religious life during the Byzantine era. The museum includes sections like the Tokali Church, Karanlik Church, Elmali Church, and Yilanli Church, showcasing impressive architecture and preserved artwork.

  • Pasabag - Pasabag Valley, also known as Monks Valley, is a distinctive valley in Cappadocia, Turkey, famous for its cone-shaped rock formations called “fairy chimneys.” These formations resulted from volcanic activity and erosion over millions of years, leaving tall, slender columns topped with larger, mushroom-shaped caps. Pasabag Valley is a popular tourist destination known for its natural beauty, where visitors can explore the unique rock formations and see cave dwellings and chapels carved by early Christian monks.

  • Pigeon Valley - Pigeon Valley, or Guvercinlik Vadisi, is a scenic valley in Cappadocia, Turkey, named for the numerous pigeon houses carved into the rock formations. These houses were used to collect pigeon droppings for fertilizer. The valley is a popular hiking destination, offering stunning views of the rock formations and surrounding valleys. The hiking trail is relatively easy, taking about 2-3 hours to complete, with several scenic viewpoints along the way. Pigeon Valley is a must-visit for its beautiful scenery, unique cultural heritage, and enjoyable hiking experience.

  • Avanos - Avanos is a charming town in Cappadocia, Turkey, known for its pottery and ceramics. Located on the banks of the Kizilirmak River, the town has a rich history dating back to the Hittite period. Avanos has been a center for pottery and ceramics for thousands of years and is home to many workshops and studios where visitors can watch artisans at work and purchase handmade items.

  • Ortahisar - Ortahisar Weaving Education Center

  • Goreme - Lunch Break at Goreme Town (Extra)

  • Fairy Chimneys - Fairy chimneys are unique rock formations in Cappadocia, Turkey, consisting of tall, slender columns of volcanic tuff topped with larger rocks that protect them from erosion. Formed over millions of years through erosion and volcanic activity, these formations vary in shape and size, some reaching up to 40 meters tall. They have been a popular tourist attraction for centuries. Locals have carved these chimneys into homes, churches, and monasteries, providing shelter from harsh weather and refuge during conflicts. Many fairy chimneys are now part of a UNESCO World Heritage site and remain a major tourist draw.

Fun, entertaining and personalized tour - We were a party of 12 with 6 teens and 6 adults. Umit was our guide and did a fantastic job of showing us around sights and tastes of Capadoccia. His English is fluent and he did a great job of keeping the teens entertained and informed. He introduced us to authentic Turkish goat milk ice cream. He was willing to work with the tour operator and customize the itinerary for the day. Will definitely avail of Umit’s services again.

Excellent service and tour guide!!! - The service was beyond excellent. We were a big group with adults and teens and they accommodated all of us very well. From pick up to the drop off- everything was excellent. Our guide Ekrem (Echo) was also awesome. He asked our preferences and timings and areas to do first based on weather and location, so the tour was very well planned and we did not feel rushed at all. He was very knowledgeable and engaged our whole group and answered so many questions from the teens to adults about anything and everything from language, trees, rock formations to potato storage 😊. The whole team was great in communication thru out and would give them 10 stars out of 5!!!

Request Eko for an incredible private tour! - I spent two days on a private tour with Eko, and he was a fantastic guide! On the first day we did a rough version of the ‘green tour’ and the second day we did the ‘red tour.’ Since it was a private tour I was able to add stops and change the order to see as much as possible. Eko really listened to all the things I wanted to see and do and he made sure I had a chance to see a pottery studio in Avanos and make my own pottery to take home. I also mentioned that I would love to learn more about Turkish carpets and he took me to an amazing workshop where the ladies were weaving and he helped translate the entire process for me. Bring raised in Turkey, Eko is a wealth of knowledge and his passion for the sites and his country comes through when he was describing all the historical sites we visited. We covered all the highlights; Undergound City, Göreme Open Air Museum, Uchisar Castle, Love Valley, Pigeon Valley, Ihlara Valley and the fairy chimneys. Then we added some fun spontaneous stops - grabbing fresh picked strawberries on the side of the road and a stop for milk baklava - something Eko said I had to try after hearing me talk about how much I loved baklava in Istanbul. My two private tour days were a fantastic and personalized experience, all thanks to Eko!

Educational, fun with amazing food! - Our Cappadocia tour with Umit as our guide was nothing short of spectacular. His deep passion for the area and its history was immediately apparent and incredibly engaging. Umit's sense of humour added a light-hearted touch to the tour, making the journey both fun and informative. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing intriguing details about the region's geology, ancient dwellings, and cultural heritage. Umit’s friendly and accommodating approach ensured that every aspect of the tour was tailored to our interests and needs. Burhan, our driver, also deserves special recognition. He was outstanding, providing a smooth and safe ride in a comfortable air-conditioned car. We appreciated the fresh drinks from the onboard fridge, which kept us cool and refreshed throughout the day. Umit also guided us to some of the best local restaurants, where we had the most delicious meals of our entire trip. Each dining experience was a highlight, thanks to his impeccable recommendations. I can't recommend Umit and Burhan highly enough for anyone visiting Cappadocia. They truly made our trip extraordinary!
