- Goreme Open-Air Museum - Goreme Open Air Museum is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a key location for understanding the Christian heritage in Cappadocia. This monastic complex features hundreds of caves carved into soft volcanic rock over centuries. Today, it showcases the finest examples of late Byzantine frescoed churches in Cappadocia. Although guiding inside the cave churches is prohibited by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, our guide will accompany you to each church, explaining the structures before you enter so you can appreciate them on your own. Unlike most guides who wait at the museum cafe, our guide will stay with you throughout the tour.
- Karanlik Kilise - Karanlik (Dark) Church contains the best-preserved examples of late Byzantine frescoes in Cappadocia. This well-preserved church is painted from floor to ceiling, thanks to its narrow and shallow entrance. The extra admission fee for the Dark Church is included in this package, ensuring fewer tourists inside and allowing you to enjoy the frescoes in peace.
- Fairy Chimneys - Pasabag, often referred to as Monks Valley in guidebooks, is home to the most stunning fairy chimneys in Cappadocia. A charming cobblestone path winds through these magnificent formations. Some of these chimneys were used by Christian monks, giving the area its name. Our guide will accompany you through the museum, explaining the formation of the fairy chimneys and the function of the small monasteries carved into them. You’ll also have the opportunity to take amazing photos and enjoy a cup of Turkish coffee or tea with a view of Pasabaglari.
- Devrent Valley - Devrent (Imagination) Valley features the most intriguing fairy chimneys in Cappadocia. Natural erosion has shaped basalt stones into fascinating animal and human forms. Devrent Valley is a must-visit photo stop in Cappadocia.
- Avanos - Avanos is a picturesque town in Cappadocia, divided by the Red River, the longest river in Turkey. The red clay used in ancient pottery wheels in Avanos is sourced from this river. Both sides of the river are popular recreational areas for locals. You’ll stop in Avanos for lunch before visiting an underground city.
- Ozkonak Underground City - Every settlement in Cappadocia has an underground city. Initially used as wineries and storage spaces, these caves became hideouts for ancient communities. Christians used them to escape enemies, transforming simple caves into complex shelters. Ozkonak Underground City is one of five underground cities open to visitors in Cappadocia. You’ll explore this maze-like city and learn how Cappadocians defended themselves from invaders. Note: Visiting an underground city is not recommended for people with back problems, asthma, heart conditions, or claustrophobia.
- Goreme Panorama - Known locally as Esentepe, the Goreme Panorama offers stunning views of Goreme Valley, Red & Rose Valley, and Erciyes (Argeus) volcanic mountain. There are several cafes and parking areas where you can stop for photos on the way to Uchisar town. You’ll take a break here to enjoy the views, take pictures, and have tea or coffee after visiting the underground city.
- Pigeon Valley - Located near Uchisar town, Pigeon Valley offers breathtaking views of Uchisar and the numerous pigeon houses carved into the valley walls. The afternoon light is ideal for memorable photos. You’ll also see the famous evil eye tree of Cappadocia, where making a wish for your next trip is highly recommended.
- Uchisar Castle - Uchisar Castle is the largest fairy chimney in Cappadocia. Used as a watchtower by Roman soldiers, it is now a well-maintained museum offering spectacular views of the region. Unlike other tours that only view the castle from afar, you’ll have the chance to climb Uchisar Castle and see Cappadocia from a unique perspective.
