Worth it - especially for families with kids - We did a one day private tour with Serap and Murat where we visited Kaymakli Underground City, Ihlara Valley and Selime monastery. Given the distances of these places from Goreme I cannot imagine us doing that by ourselves and our two kids (ages 8 and 5).
Serap was great to communicate with before the trip, she gave us good suggestions and very practical too (eg do you really want to visit every single valley).
When we reached Kaymakli there were a few mini busses that had just arrived with us. Even so Serap managed to zig zag past them and took us to areas of the underground city that were not crowded at all. You could see the group tours going one way and we would be going another way. She let our kids go through tunnels patiently and even suggested additional ones they could try out on their own. It was clear that she knew her way around those parts.
On to Ihlara Valley, the hike was beautiful. Serap explained the history of the churches, let the kids walk ahead on the trail and was very patient with their pace. There was a small little tunnel that they got to walk through. We appreciated these small things which made a big difference to how much our kids enjoyed the hike. After a lunch stop we went on to Selime Monastery which was incredible. Serap gave us all the information as we walked through it. Since the children wanted to climb on the rocks and through the caves for a bit longer, she waited patiently to one side. All in all a great day!
It does cost more if you compare it to the group tours but with kids, having your own vehicle and a knowledgeable guide who not only knows her stuff but can work with the pace of your kids makes the cost worthwhile.

Super cool experience with knowledgeable tour guide! - Mustafa was a very knowledgeable tour guide. He quickly and efficiently showed us the underground city, going out of his way to not simply follow the blue arrows where everyone else was. He also took photos for us and pointed out aspects of Turkish culture we did not know about while driving to the underground city. I highly recommend doing this tour if you don’t want to do the entire green tour but still see the underground city.

Wonderful tour in Cappadocia - Serap was a wonderful guide. Very informative and fun to spend time with. We had booked a group tour but the other folks had lateness issues so Serap, as the owner came and picked us up and gave us a wonderful private tour and more. Highly recommend her and her agency.

10/10 experience! - Wonderful experience. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. He not only showed us the underground city but also pointed out certain things about Turkish culture during the drive to the underground city. He was also kind enough to take pictures for us and give us restaurant suggestions near our hotel.

Highly recommend - Excellent tour. Lots of good information and it is definitely worth the extra money to go with a small group or solo as the caves are quite tight in parts and it would have been a bit claustrophobic to go with a big group. Being picked up and dropped off at the hotel is also excellent as the caves are a half hour drive away. No messing around with unnecessary stops. Only stops we're to two beautiful view points looking over pigeon valley on the way back which was a lovely added touch.

Mustafa is Amazing - Amazing half-day tour. My guide, Mustafa Aga, had a deep knowledge of the area, having studied and lived there for 30 years, and was able to answer every question I had, ranging from local agricultural production to ancient Hittite history. Very fun and informative.

Was not worth the cost. - Very bland presentation. The commentaries were quite sparse.
Pick up and drop off were punctual; ride was satisfactory.
We were expecting more insight into the historical context of this underground city, as well as more information about the excavation. We came away with little information.
