LOVED THE EXPERIENCE! - We arrived early by accident, but Maurizio was so polite and started our tour early. He “took us to his office” (see pics) & gave great insight into not only the winemaking process, but also the olive oil making process and the many stages the olives can get processed. Perfect tasting after the tour paired with some cheeses & meats. We placed an order to have some wine & oil mailed back to the states and it arrived yesterday. I highly recommend you stop by and see him if you are in the area. Thank you again Maurizio!

Beautiful Town - don't miss it. - Beautiful town with spectacular views. We went to a wine tasting in town at Pruneti Oil, a few blocks from the piazza, and it was wonderful. For 25 euro we each received a tasting of six of their olive oils with green apple slices to cleanse our palates followed by a mixoilgy (I'm spelling that correctly) cocktail - your choice of cocktails mixed with their oils. Very different and very good. After the tasting, we sat outside on their patio and had the cocktails. Highly recommended. If you go to Greve in Chianti don't miss out on stopping at a nearby (10 minutes tops) hilltop town called Montefioralle. Also spectacular. We ate at a fabulous restaurant there called I'Desio. It is tucked away and overlooks the valley below - a better view for lunch there isn't. Daniello opens his home to a hand-full of patrons and you receive a seven-course meal, with wine and water (both natural and frizzante) for 35 euro each. Simply Fantastic!

Perfect Chianti wine tour - We visited MrMaurizios place as part of an individual family to do the Chianti wine tour. It was one of the best days in my this seasons tour. Mr mauricio is an excellent host and he explains all details in clear English. HIS place with its vineyards and landscape is so picturesque. There are no words to describe the wine tasting session. Different types of wines serves with delicious cheese olive oil and saloumis. It was a perfect day. We purchased his moisturising creams snd hand creams . We are using it now. I feel it very good for my ski problems

Did nit enjoy - It probably would have been rated higher but the two things that left a negative feel were, firstly when in booked it via Viator I was not provided a time just a day, so I had to follow up with the winery to arrange a time. On attending although it had Ben very hot all week and that morning it rained heavily at our time which understandably meant the tour of the vineyard was cancelled . What really ruined it though was we were sat on a table with a different group who had finished all their tastings but remained through ours and one of the males was nothing short of obnoxious with his behaviour. For what we paid, and what was received we were disappointed.

Not the best of the Chianti villages.. - Heard a lot about this area, Greve however, was not the prettiest town.. there are several other little villages in the surroundings much more worth a stop…
