The Alentejo Coast is regarded as the most stunning in Portugal. The area we will explore features expansive sandy beaches and a magnificent river estuary. This region is home to the significant Sado Nature Reserve, which even hosts a local dolphin population.
Upon arriving in Comporta, there will be a couple of hours to relax on the beach, enjoy the sand and sea, and have a drink at the local beach bar.
The itinerary includes a visit to the Sado Estuary, featuring the renowned and traditional “Cais Palafítico.” The region is also famous for its rice production and salt.
After a lunch break, we will explore the historic town of Alcácer do Sal and the fishing town of Setúbal.
Departure is scheduled from Cascais, Sintra, Lisbon, or Oeiras at 8 am to make the most of the day.
