Food Tour in Guadalahara - This food tour was amazing. meeting our guide Thiago in the square went well. He introducedus to a variety of local fruits, somethings we have seen at the market but never purchased. We tried a wide range of local cusine from a variety of settings from resturant to food court style. We took the tour at 4 pm our bellies were full and exhausted by the time we got back to our hotel. This tour is a definite must! We did have to pay for the food extra but between 6 people were able to share food items more than enough tastes! Highly recommended! Jeanna Warren

Spectacular tour. Would recommend to friends and family - Can’t say enough good things about this tour! Money well spent with a mixture of cultural, city, and gastronomical history. Our tour guide Thiago was phenomenal. He spent the extra time to explain things and walked extra slow for my disabled father in law. I recommend to anyone visiting the city.

Excellent Tour - Thiago is a kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide. I learned so much more with him than I ever would have exploring alone, and felt very safe. I would recommend him to anybody traveling the area.

See Guadalajara and taste lots of foods - We truly enjoyed our tour with Thiago! He gave us so much history about the city and the country all the while walking us everywhere. He was able to answer our questions and gave us lots of opportunities to try local foods. We even tried lots of fruits that were new to us.

Amazing food tour! - The food tour was amazing! Our guide, Tlane, was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with information about the area along the walk over from Plaza de Armas to the Mercado, making the short (>.5 mile) stroll more personable. Before going in, our first stop was at a cart selling Tejuino, a popular drink in the city. It was the only thing we tried we didn’t like, but that was just our personal preference. Tlane guided us safely through the busy market, and our second stop was at a seafood place. We were initially wary but enjoyed an amazing $1 shrimp ceviche tostada. Then we went to a stall specializing in menudo, which was similarly inexpensive and delicious. Second-to-last was a wonderful birria place with delicious quesabirria. After, we asked our guide where we could get dessert and she obliged us, taking us to a stand selling flan in which they let you keep the ceramic bowl it comes in. At every place we went to, she introduced us to the staff, who were all very friendly, and provided information on the cultural background about the food and the market itself. She advised us on the places that are not good to eat at, and even after the tour was over she stayed to help a member of our group find a particular souvenir she wanted. The tour was fantastic overall, and I highly recommend Tlane as a guide.

Navigating the Mercado Libertad in Guadalajara - We walked through Mercado Libertad, a HUGE collection of shops, stores, and restaurants, to find some of the best food available. "Queen Jin" (she'll tell you the story) led us right to her favorite food, explaining all about it as we sampled. I don't know if we'll ever find the same places again, but it was entertaining, educational, and delicious!

Unable to Contact Guide - Was running late to the meet up due to issues with the bus, which was 100% my fault not leaving early enough. However, I tried for a long time to reach the guide in an attempt to let them know I’d be late and was looking to meet up with them somewhere along the route so I’d could attend at least part of the tour. The guide ignored my calls and 24 hours after the tour still hasn’t answered my messages. I was only able to reach Viator support who said my refund was up to the guide, and could take several days. Very disappointed.
