Amazing experience - We had an amazing time! The cultural experience was informative and interesting - our guide was lively and knowledgeable. My husband and I are animal lovers and were able to pet the animals at the farm and give them carrots, which we loved. The animal sanctuary was beautiful and one of the staff members (Alejandro) walked with us a gave us so much additional information - we really appreciated it and it elevated our experience over 5*s. There is plenty of shade at the cultural experience and the animal sanctuary. Also, we had the lunch buffet and it was delicious. I am a picky eater and have no complaints (which is rare for me with a buffet). Overall, we highly recommend visiting the park.

Great experience - We went here with our kids and there's lots to see and do. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to experience some of the feeding sessions for the sloth and crocodiles. We went during the winter break and it wasn't too busy. We would recommend it!

Sanctuary & Cultural Tour - The staff were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about any animal, where they were hiding, how they entered the rehabilitation, and more about how they act in the wild. The cultural experience tour gave insight into the processing of cacao, sugar cane, and coffee. Kevin led a great session!

Time travel with coffee and chocolate - Beautiful, peaceful setting, glimpse back at how life may have been for Costa Ricans generations ago. A rudimental farm with a traditional house, surrounded by the native flora and crops, helpfully labelled. Our friendly and cheerful guide Kevin was a delight as he took us through the process involved in making coffee and chocolate from the plants themselves. We were fully engaged in it all and enjoyed sampling what was made.

Fun for the whole family! - This was a perfect activity for a group of 12 which included 3 small children and elderly adults. The staff upon arrival were really nice and helpful. The tour was informative and fun. Some walking was involved but it was easy for the kiddos and the elderly adults. The kids really enjoyed walking around the sanctuary. We were able to experience the Sloths feeding time! Definitely recommend this tour if you are looking for a family friendly activity.

Sloths up close and personal - Having seen sloths in the wild this was a good chance to see them up close and personal. The park is calming and offers lots of information on the conservation work done. Really enjoyed it and would do more if time allowed

A great experience - The animal park was incredible! So clean and well-organized. A big variety of animals, birds, butterflies, crocs, frogs, more than I'd expected. The guides were great. I especially loved the sloth feeding.

ZOO! NOT A SACTUARY!!!! Do not go!!! - Horrible, horrible, terrible place. Do not go! DO not let your friends go! THIS IS A ZOO! THIS IS NOT AN ANIMAL "SANCTUARY"! First let me say, almost a year after visiting this location I still feel soiled and dirty for going. I am still pissed this place received money from me and I supported it. I wrote a review that was apparently removed or not approved. I went with a friend, and we were told how great this place was and told it was a sanctuary for animals. We were sold a mental image of the place being wide open, animals in a more natural environment designed to respect and protect the animals. This image was shattered within the first two minutes. THIS IS A ZOO! This is a zoo and the animals look horribly mistreated. We were moved from cage to cage by "Zoo" staff to watch animal feedings. The staff attempted to hide the man behind the curtains by selling the idea everyone was so lucky to be here on a day when animals were fed so we could see them. All the animals are restricted to a very small area where the public can walk by and see them. These are the better off animals. Others are kept in cages out of site and allowed into larger yet tiny constraint cages at feeding time. We happened to be there when the jaguars were fed. These were two brothers who appear to have been released from a smaller, out of site cage, into a larger one for the only purpose of letting customers see them feed. The staff tried to sell a story of the animals being kept in a better spot out of sight. Once the animals came in it was obvious they were not being held in a larger more comfortable cage. At one point one of the brother jaguars began to rape his brother and forcibly proceed to fornicate aggressively with his brother. The receiving brother was not a willing participant. The "ZOO" staff tried to explain the animals were just playing. THIS IS NOT A SACTUARY of any kind. IT IS A ZOO!
