Santa Rosa National Park is unique as the only Protected Wilderness Area with a historical museum within its boundaries. Visitors can explore and learn about Costa Rica’s history. This excursion, which includes visiting the forest and the historical museum, can be completed in about 2 hours. However, the experience extends throughout the visit, as driving through the national park offers stunning nature and wildlife sightings, including hawks, eagles, snakes, deer, coati mundi, and even tapirs. Awesome historic place - It took a while to get there, but it was worth it. It is a great historical place and seemed very well kept despite the fire that happened there a few years ago. I would recommend hiking up to the viewpoint. Walk around and explore. I enjoyed the tour with these guys, they were friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend them and would take another tour with them!
