Excellent tour - Although it was a rainy day in the morning, we were able to complete the itinerary in the schedule for the day. Tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable. It is a long day but it is worth it.

Must do day trip to Nicaragua! - I loved this tour and it’s worth every dime! We were picked up right on time for the tour, our van was clean had AC and wifi. The drivers and tour guides were nice and helpful. They helped us cross the boarder and told us what to expect and how to be prepared. We saw a lot of cool things and learned a lot about the country. The included meals were delicious. We ordered our meals with the tour guide before we arrived at the restaurant so the food was hot and ready when we arrived! We had good opportunities to take photos. We couldn’t go to the volcano due to it being closed for safety so we went to a statue. They let us know about the change to the itinerary well in advance.

Just DO it! You won’t regret it! - To be honest when I booked the excursion for Nicaragua I did not know what to expect. I didn’t have high expectations and I didn’t have low expectations… I was going into it thinking this is awesome. I can knock another country off my list. However, Nicaragua is a beautiful country and absolutely blow me away! The architect held so much rich history. If only those walls could talk. The nature absolutely breathtaking the two volcanoes you see in one of the pictures one is water to my right and one is fire (lava) to my left. Both volcanoes surrounding the biggest lake in Central America Lake Nicaragua, the freshest lake in Central America and 15th largest in the world. In Lake Nicaragua, there is over 300 little islands that have some of the most beautiful homes owned by wealthy families across the United States, Europe, Canada and Nicaragua. Lucy, the monkey is one of two monkeys only on the island and she is pregnant. The people are so kind so humble and so thrilled to show you their culture and the history of their cities. The food the authentic Nicaragua food was amazing. It was so fresh so flavorful and sourced right off of their land in their backyard. I was blown away. All of the stops were amazing the cigar factory, the chocolate factory, the horse and carriage. Definitely put this on your list of excursions if you’re in Costa Rica. The cities that we visited were Rivas, Mango, San Juan, and Granada. David did a phenomenal job! You will not be disappointed.🇳🇮🇳🇮

Guspar is AWESOME! - We had the most amazing experience with our tour guide, Guspar. He was super personable, knowledgeable about the different cultures and customs of Nicaragua and was hilarious. The local food we had on his tour was phenomenal. We would absolutely do this again with Guspar.

Great Experience - Really great experience. Great taste of everything and excited to return to this beautiful country with its incredible people. Our guide was super knowledgeable and accommodating. I must admit I was a bit hesitant as a single female to take this adventure, but all was perfectly fine (felt safer than in my hometown). It was clear we stuck to the touristy areas, so can’t speak to much else. Be prepared for a few transfers to the border, bring your stuff with you! Thankfully, they walked us through everything at customs (otherwise Id have no idea how to do it). Bring snacks for the ride home and a portable charger.

So worth it! - This trip was SO worth it! Nothing sketchy or unsafe about it. Tour guide was amazing. The transition across the boarder was easy and low stress. He helped us through the whole process pain free. The country is absolutely beautiful! Pictures don’t do it justice. We learned so much about the country, ate great food, and people were super nice. It is a super long day as it started at 4:30am and we got back to our place by 8:45p. It’s a lot of driving, but you get to see so much of the country! We’d absolutely do it again!

Day trip to Nicaragua - They managed the border crossing exceptionally well, and for a country that has safety/security concerns we never felt in danger. The lake tour was a highlight and the meals were fine. It’s a long day, and I think over 10 of the 16 hours are sitting on buses, which on the Costa Rica side were very cramped and uncomfortable. It said bottled water was included, and we technically did get a bottle with breakfast, but it wasn’t provided on any of the buses or at any other point. The tour guide was ok… he talked a little about the formation of Nicaragua at the beginning, but not much after that. The tour of Granada was done by the horse carriage driver and that was an additional expense. We were told at the beginning of the tour that availability for that was limited, but when we got there we saw dozens of them sitting idle. Overall it was ok.
