Hike to the Celeste River is the sight of an unusual natural phenomenon where the river and its rocks suddenly turn light blue due to minerals washed off the ground into the river. These minerals are the result of the rivers location on the sides of the dormant Tenorio Volcano and the remaining vents from the depths of the volcano.Â

We will then follow the river downstream for a refreshing encounter with an enormous waterfall that spills down the sides of the volcano.
Adventure off the traditional path to the spectacular ¨ Llanos de Cortez Waterfall¨. This secluded waterfall spans 30ft high and 40 ft wide and cascades into a white sand pond.  Enjoy swimming, hiking or just relaxing.
