- Tamarindo Beach - After pick up for your Tamarindo ATV Mountain tour, you will be given helmet and goggles and a 15 minute instruction lesson on how to operate the Honda semi-automatic ATVS. If you haven’t ever driven an ATV before, don’t worry! They are very easy and the crew will make sure you are comfortable driving before setting off on the tour. After everyone has been though the safety and operational orientation, everyone will begin driving off into the mountains surrounding Tamarindo.
You will drive through the beautiful tropical forest in the mountains surrounding Tamarindo where you will most likely see monkeys, iguanas, and more hanging out in the trees! You will start off driving on dirt roads up to the mountains and then continue down off road trails. Be prepared to get dirty! You will also get to lookout points along the way with stunning views of the Tamarindo Bay.
Must be 16 years old with a valid drivers license to drive the ATVs, otherwise, you must ride as a passenger on the back of a driver.

A perfect tour for both beginners and experienced drivers, riding an ATV ride off-road gives you the ultimate opportunity to see the hidden gems of the surrounding areas. You will explore the beautiful dry tropical forest in the mountains where you will most likely see monkeys, iguanas, and more hanging out in the trees! Be prepared to get dirty! You will also get to lookout points along the way with stunning views of the Tamarindo Bay. Adult travelers can drive themselves, while families with kids can pair up on double ATVs.
- Please make sure to bring clothes that can get dirty, and to wear closed toed shoes
- Minimum age is 16 years to drive an ATV

ATV Tours - Myself and son took the 2 hour ATV tour, we had one other young man in our group.
Our guide was very knowledgeable, made sure we were comfortable using the ATV”s.
We went to 3 beaches and our guide gave us lots of facts and showed us hidden gems.

GREAT guides and fun experience! - Really fun ATV tour! The tour lasted a decent amount of time and we stopped at two beaches to stretch our legs, unwind, and get food/ drinks. We arrived and had a change of plans as the bride got hurt and didn't ride an ATV, they were very accommodating and made sure we had appropriate knowledge of the ATVs and skills. Our guides, Fernando and Gustavo, were GREAT! I ended up having to drive a stick shift ATV for the first time and the lead instructor was terrific at ensuring I knew which gear shifts to switch into and when.
Pro Tip: make sure to wear clothes/shoes you don’t mind getting muddy or dirty. Possibly wear a swimsuit underneath if you'd like to get in the water, and make sure you have a face covering because it will get dusty!

Good experience! - Great experience! Native’s way was able to accommodate us with a last minute booking and the guide did a wonderful job of taking us to beaches and through back roads where we saw iguanas and beautiful sights.

Ivan the incredible! - We just came back from Costa Rica and decided to do an ATV, which I’ve done in the past but not like this! Our guid was Ivan and was amazing! Not only did he take us on some unique trails but he adapted to our riding abilities (done this before) and really allowed us to open up the throttle and have fun. I highly recommend you request Ivan for any of the tours that he offers. I will definitely be doing more the next time I visit!

AMAZING!!!!!! - I went on a atv tour with my family along with some friends. The tour guide was amazing, he was always trying to find ways to make us feel safe and comfortable, his name is Ander. Ander was always taking pictures, showing us wildlife, beautiful beaches and most importantly an amazing time. We even enjoyed riding on the dirt road because Ander made it so entertaining at all times. I recommend this atv tour for anyone out there it was the best thing I did in Costa Rica the whole time. On top of that the atvs were super clean and in great conditions, we did not have a single problem the whole time. P.S I would ask for Ander the tour guide because he was helpful and amazing throughout the whole trip.

Amazing ATV Tour! - My family and I stay in Tamarindo every year and we decided to book an ATV tour with Ivan and his team through Native’s way. We are avid travelers and have done other ATV tours in Mexico, and the US. We have to say this was the best experience we have had... Ivan and his team are amazing! We highly recommend...when we go back we will definitely be scheduling through native’s way and scheduling with Ivan and his team again!

4 wheels Action + Fun - They have several options with 4 wheels cars, ATV, UTV, tours, rentals and more, so first try to define what you want and then forget the rest, they take you through many inside roads all around Tamarindo area.
Staff more than perfect, fast answers, very profesional, on time and the tour guides with a lot of knowledge, they know what are they doing, Natives Way Costa Rica is more than perfect for your vacations.

Misleading Information - We were told that this would be a nature trip great for wildlife photography. It was not! Is was simply AN ATV ride that went to several beaches. Had I known, I wold have never booked the ride.
