Li River - Embark on a Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo, a must-see for any visitor to northeastern Guangxi Province. The stunning Karst peaks surprise you at every turn of the clear river beneath the blue sky. Water buffaloes lounge in the fields, farmers harvest rice paddies, and school children and fishermen drift by on bamboo rafts. The river’s picturesque scenery offers a glimpse into a life far removed from the bustling city.

Your day starts with a 7:40 AM pickup from your hotel in Guilin or Yangshuo. You’ll then head to Zhujiang pier to board the cruise boat. The cruise lasts about 4 hours (from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM), during which you’ll take in the breathtaking views of the Li River.

Xingping Town - The artwork of the “Yellow Cloth Shoal” displayed in China’s embassy at the UN headquarters is inspired by Xingping Ancient Town. The design on the back of a 20 yuan note also comes from Xingping Ancient Town, which has been visited by Sun Yat-sen, the first president of the Republic of China, and former US president Bill Clinton.

West Street - After the river cruise, enjoy a walk through downtown Yangshuo, including a visit to the famous West Street. Known for its numerous shops offering a wide variety of local crafts, antiques, and souvenirs, it is a shopper’s paradise. Alternatively, you can wander through the many alleyways or along the river, observing the local life.

Xianggong Mountain - After exploring West Street, we will drive for 40 minutes to reach Xianggong Hill. This is the most beautiful mountain along the Li River. A walk to the top offers a bird’s-eye view of the entire Li River.

Impression Sanjie Liu - Our guide will meet you at 6:30 PM in the Yangshuo West Street area to head to the show. The light show lasts for 70 minutes (7:30 PM to 8:40 PM), and we will return to the Guilin hotel around 10:30 PM (9:00 PM to 10:30 PM). Here is some information about the show:
The Impression Liu Sanjie show is a highlight of Yangshuo. It is a night show unlike any other, featuring a virtual scenery performance. The unique aspect of this show is its water and hill scenery theater, using the Li River as the stage and 12 hills as the backdrop. Combined with the vast sky, it forms the largest virtual scenery theater in the world. As an outdoor theater, the show’s scenes change with the seasons and weather, offering a different experience each time.

Reed Flute Cave & Elephant Hill & Daxu. The tour ends.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Our tour guide and driver will meet you in your hotel lobby at 9 AM, and we will first visit the Reed Flute Cave. Located in the northwest suburb of Guilin, Guangxi, China, 7 km from the city center, the cave is about 240 meters (787 ft) deep and 500 meters (1,640 ft) long. It features numerous exquisite stalagmites, stalactites, stone pillars, and stone curtains that have been forming for 180 million years, earning it the nickname “the Palace of Natural Art.”

Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbishan) - After visiting the Reed Flute Cave, we will head to Elephant Hill, a major attraction and landmark in the center of Guilin City. The beautiful natural scenery combined with valuable cultural landscapes makes it a captivating place for tourists.

Daxu Old Town - Next, we will transfer to Daxu Old Town, located about 20 kilometers southeast of Guilin near the Li River. Daxu is known for its well-preserved ancient buildings, worn bluestone streets, and traditional culture. Despite being a quaint, off-the-beaten-path village, Daxu offers many interesting sites, including ancient temples, stone streets, and a historic market, making it a paradise for history and antiquities enthusiasts.

Sun and Moon Pagodas - Finally, we will head to the Sun and Moon Pagodas area for lunch. After lunch, we can walk around the pagodas and lakes area before dropping you off at your hotel or the airport/train station.

Guilin - At the end of the tour, your guide will escort you to your hotel, airport, or train station with a comfortable transfer, concluding your memorable two-day trip.
