Li River - Embark on a Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo, a must-see for any visitor to northeastern Guangxi Province. The stunning Karst peaks surprise you at every turn of the clear river under the blue sky. Water buffaloes lounge in the fields, farmers harvest rice paddies, and school children and fishermen drift by on bamboo rafts. The picturesque scenery offers a glimpse into a life far removed from the bustling city.

Your day starts with a 7:40 AM pickup from your hotel in Guilin or Yangshuo. You’ll then head to Zhujiang Pier to board the cruise boat. The cruise lasts about 4 hours (from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM), during which you’ll enjoy the breathtaking views of the Li River.

Xingping Town - The painting of the “Yellow Cloth Shoal” displayed in China’s embassy at the UN headquarters is inspired by Xingping Ancient Town. The design on the back of a 20 yuan note also comes from Xingping Ancient Town, which has been visited by Sun Yat-sen, the first president of the Republic of China, and former US president Bill Clinton.

West Street - After the river cruise, take a leisurely stroll through downtown Yangshuo and explore the famous West Street. Known for its numerous shops offering a wide variety of local crafts, antiques, and souvenirs, it’s a shopper’s paradise. Alternatively, you can wander through the many alleyways or along the river, enjoying the sights and sounds.

Xianggong Mountain - Next, we will drive for 40 minutes to Xianggong Hill. This is the most beautiful mountain along the Li River. A walk to the top offers a bird’s-eye view of the entire Li River.

Impression Sanjie Liu - Our English-speaking driver will meet you at 6:30 PM in the Yangshuo West Street area and take you to the show. The light show lasts for 70 minutes (7:30 PM to 8:40 PM), and we will return to the Guilin hotel around 10:30 PM (9:00 PM to 10:30 PM). Here’s some information about the show:
The Impression Liu Sanjie show is a highlight of Yangshuo. It’s a night show unlike any other, featuring a virtual scenery performance. The unique aspect of this show is its water and hill scenery theater, using the waters of the Li River as the stage and 12 hills as the backdrop. With the vast sky, it forms the largest virtual scenery theater in the world. As an outdoor theater, the show’s scenes change with the seasons and weather, offering a different experience each time.

Reed Flute Cave & Longji Rice Terraces. The tour ends.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Our English-speaking driver will meet you at the hotel lobby at 9 AM, and we will first visit the Reed Flute Cave. Located in the northwest suburb of Guilin, Guangxi, China, 7 km from the city center, the cave is about 240 meters (787 ft) deep and 500 meters (1,640 ft) long. It features numerous exquisite stalagmites, stalactites, stone pillars, and stone curtains that have been forming for 180 million years, earning it the nickname “the Palace of Natural Art.”

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - Next, we will drive for 1.5 hours to the Longji Rice Terraces, 80 km from Guilin. Also known as the “Longsheng Terrace Field,” these terraces are located on Longji Mountain in Pingan Village. The terraces, which resemble great chains or ribbons, extend from the foot to the top of the hills. This design conserves water resources due to limited land. The terraces are a captivating scenic spot, especially when the sun reflects off the water in the paddy fields.

Ping’an Village - After purchasing the Longji ticket, we will drive into the terraces area. We can first stop at the Long Hair Village to see the Long Hair Yao people and their village, spending about 30 minutes there. Then, we will head to either Ping’an or Dazhai Village, depending on your preference, to explore the terraces.

Guilin - Finally, your English-speaking driver will take you back to your hotel in a comfortable transfer, concluding your memorable two-day trip.
