- Yuexiu Park - Yuexiu Park, the largest public park in Guangzhou, offers not only green spaces but also a small city museum, remnants of the ancient city wall, a statue of the city’s five founding rams, the 14th-century Zhenhai Tower, and several manmade lakes. Spend a few hours enjoying this acclaimed “ecological and cultural wonderland”.
- 镇海楼 - Built in 1380, Zhenhai Tower is also known as the Five-Storied Tower due to its five-story structure. In front of the tower, you’ll find inscriptions from various dynasties, and on the right side, there are 12 ancient cannons. Converted into the Guangzhou Municipal Museum in 1929, it showcases cultural relics from Guangzhou spanning over 2000 years. In 1950, it was renamed the Guangzhou Museum.
- Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street - Shangxiajiu is a famous pedestrian shopping street in Guangzhou. It holds the memories of Guangzhou’s people and offers a walk through the city’s long history.

The booking was easy, we contacted... - <p>The booking was easy, we contacted the tour operator to make sure everything was confirmed. While booking I had provided the hotel address and paid the full price for the tour. The guide was supposed to come to the hotel but upon confirmation we were told that we need to meet the guide at a different location and they will charge us an addition 900 Yuan to get picked up from the hotel. Since we did not speak the language we had no option but to accept. This sort of rip off is a standard in China and Hong Kong. We had the same experience on the Hong Kong tour. </p>
<p>Otherwise, the tour was excellent and our guide was really good. If not for this pick up issue, I would have given it a 5 star.</p>

Very disappointed - our guide didn’t... - <p>Very disappointed - our guide didn’t seem to have a plan, chatted with the driver rather than us as we crossed the city, and left us to walk a shopping street on our own for the last hour while he went shopping. Simply no comparison with our superb tours of Milan and Alhambra.</p>
