Immerse yourself in an incredible natural landscape that hides a recent past. Listen to the stories and enjoy the adventure and excitement of the Mondego Walkways. Start your trip at the Barragem do Caldeirão Car Park. Climb to the Miradouro do Mocho Real to enjoy the view… the adventure begins! A great challenge awaits! Around five hundred wooden steps descending through the Mondego Valley, with the stunning Caldeirão Waterfall revealing its rare beauty. After crossing the old Mizarela Bridge and observing the natural sculptures, continue passing old factories and learn about the Pope Blanket. Discover the Pateiro Hydroelectric Power Station, the oldest in Guarda, and hear the stories of the exploration of “black gold”. Cross suspension bridges and discover the mills in Ribeira dos Moinhos. Finish at the “Videmonte” park and cool off in the waters of the Mondego, bring a bathing suit. Total distance: 12 km, accumulated slope: 600 m; Difficulty: Moderate level 2/3 of 5 - MIDE.
