Guatavita & Zipaquirá - amazing places - Both places are incredibly beautiful. A must-see for anyone visiting Bogotá. Guatavita and the legend of El Dorado. Zipaquirá - a cathedral 180 meters underground.

Great time - Our guides, Caesar and Louis were spectacular. The group (all single travelers) were a mixture of English and Spanish speakers. Caesar spoke fluent English. We were told the historical importance of each location and the drive away from the city. We explored the lake and salt mines on our own. The ‘trek’ to the lake was well worth the gorgeous views from the top. The salt mines provided audio explanations of the various steps to the death of Jesus. Tthe beautiful displays, light show and 3d movie were captivating. As a group we all enjoyed and I would recommend this tour with them.

Amazing tour! - I loved this tour! It was a great way to start my Colombian adventure. We visited many locations, and the time spent at each place was just right. I had enough time to fully enjoy each activity without feeling rushed. The salt cathedral and lagoon were absolutely amazing! The tour was well organized, and I appreciated the small group size. Our guide, Cesar, was fantastic. He shared super interesting facts about Colombia and his own travel experiences outside of his home country in comparison, making it even more interesting. His passion is evident. Don’t think, just take this tour! It’s the right choice!

TERRIBLE experience, DO NOT GO - The tour is not it was described. It started 745 am ended 245 pm. There was no guidance provided. I can not describe the activity as an excursion, but transportation services. The “guide” did not teach us anything on the tour, it was hours of silent driving. He did not accompany us the the salt cathedral rather told us where to buy tickets and where he will meet us after. All his explanations about the cathedral was: now you have seen the cartoon inside and know what is is all about. The restaurant chosen by him was abysmal. I have had Colombian dishes before (including the one recommended), it was meant to be traditional Colombian lunch, it was uneatable. I took the tour with two other people, that I have not met before and their experience matched mine. I have submitted a request for a 50% refund and the operator messaged back to Viator as well as me directly, that he will allow the discount if I leave a good review. First of all, if I wanted to communicate with the operator directly I would have do so, secondly: this is extremely disingenuous and unprofessional to ask me for a good review when I am asking for a refund based on my terrible experience.
