Great tour - That was probably one of the best tours I've ever had. Our tour guide Eli, was so knowledgeable and passionate. She was able to answer all the questions we had. She was impressive. She also was very kind and so professional. Added bonus, she is a great photographer. It truly was a perfect tour.

They picked me up on time... - They picked me up on time and after picking up the others we drove to Antigua. It's a walking tour so make sure to have good shoes because there is a lot of rough stone roads. It's a gorgeous town with tons of history. Our guide was very infomed and easy to understand. We had time to shop and he took us to the best shops, and told us what to avoid in the stores. After the tour we got dropped off at our hotel.

Worth the visit - My guide was Rueben, and he was very knowledgeable about the history of Guatemala and all the sites we visited. It ended up being a private tour because nobody else signed up on this day, and we walked to all of the locations which I personally enjoyed. Rueben and Carlos (driver) were very punctual and were at my meeting point before 8am.

I had a quick trip to... - I had a quick trip to Guatemala planned and naturally made Antigua Guatemala a priority given its reputation as a “must-see” destination. After reading the glowing customer reviews, I decided to book this tour, despite only private options being available on my chosen date. While I was prepared to pay a premium for the exclusivity, the experience left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, but his delivery was very robotic, lacking the spontaneity and personal touch I had hoped for as a solo traveler. It felt more like a standard package than a flexible experience, which is what I expected at this price point. He kept repeating the same lines over and over as if dealing with the cruise groups he kept mentioning, rather than listening to the guest and adapting accordingly. Disappointingly, we skipped Cerro de la Cruz, a stop on the itinerary, because the guide deemed it “too crowded.” Additionally, there were long stretches where I was left to wander through town aimlessly on my own, which seemed lazy considering the premium price I paid. While Antigua Guatemala itself is undeniably beautiful, I can’t help but feel short-changed. The tour was just okay—not bad, but far from the exceptional experience I had envisioned.
