La Aurora International Airport - Upon arrival in Guatemala, the team will be ready to transport guests to their hotel in Antigua Guatemala.

Antigua Walking Tour

Antigua, Guatemala - At 9 a.m., a guide will meet guests at their hotel to commence a walking tour of Antigua Guatemala. The afternoon is free for leisure.

Antigua - Acatenango

Acatenango, La Soledad - At 8 a.m., guests will depart from Antigua to the La Soledad farm to start the hike.

Acatenango Volcano - From Finca la Soledad, the ascent to the base camp begins.

Volcan de Fuego - After a rest and regaining energy, the hike to the Fuego volcano starts, allowing guests to get closer to the colossus and capture some photos. After the hike, return to the base camp.

Acatenango - Antigua Guatemala

Antigua - Early in the morning (4 a.m.), the final ascent to the summit crater of the Acatenango volcano begins to witness the horizon and take final photos. Return to base camp for breakfast, then descend and depart for Antigua Guatemala.

Antigua Guatemala - Quetzaltenango

Salcaja - A brief stop in Salcaja to explore the town, its attractions, and its church, known as the first hermitage in Central America.

Quetzaltenango - Volcan de Chicabal - Quetzaltenango

Laguna Chicabal - Visit the stunning Chicabal Lagoon and hike its natural trails. Return to Quetzaltenango in the afternoon.

Quetzaltenango - Fuentes Georginas - Chichicastenango

Fuentes Georginas - In the morning, guests will visit the tourist attraction of Fuentes Georginas, enjoying a relaxing morning. At day’s end, depart for Chichicastenango.

Chichicastenango Market Day - Atitlan (must be Thu - Sun)

Chichicastenango - In the morning, guests will explore the market, cemetery, Catholic churches, and Pascual Abaj hill. In the afternoon, depart for Lake Atitlan.

Boat Ride in Lake Atitlan

Lake Atitlan - Guests will visit the charming towns of Santiago Atitlán, San Juan, and San Pedro la Laguna. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Nebaj - The trek begins with a steep climb, offering views of mountains, pine forests, and cornfields. Stops will be made to observe valleys, listen to birds, and learn about local flora and fauna.

Biotopo del Quetzal - Located in Purulhá, Baja Verapaz, the Quetzal Biotope spans 1,044 hectares and was established as a protected area on June 2, 1976, by founder Mario Dary Rivera, aiming to protect the quetzal and its cloud forest habitat.

Santa Cruz, Coban - Semuc Champey - Santa Cruz, Coban

Semuc Champey - Meaning “River hides under the stones,” Semuc Champey is a natural wonder in Lanquín, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Amidst a dense tropical forest, a natural limestone bridge stretches 300 meters, with the Cahabón River flowing beneath. Surrounding pools, 1 to 3 meters deep, change color with the weather and sun. The Cahabón River enters a limestone cavern, a dangerous area to approach, only to be observed from a distance.

Santa Cruz, Coban - Hun Nal Ye - Santa Cruz, Coban

Hun Nal Ye - A mystical destination with natural pools in Guatemala, Hun Nal Ye is a paradise for aquatic adventure and nature enthusiasts. Located in Alta Verapaz, this tourist spot offers diverse activities and landscapes, attracting both national and international visitors.

The name means “The House of the Moon God,” evoking mysticism felt while exploring its trails and clear pools. Known for its cenotes and clear waters, visitors can swim and explore, enjoying a refreshing escape and a natural experience.

Santa Cruz, Coban - Cuevas de Candelaria - Isla Flores

Cuevas de Candelaria Mucbilha - The Candelaria Caves in Alta Verapaz form a national park, a complex of caves considered the spiritual cradle of the Mayan civilization. Navigating the underground river was believed to lead souls to Xibalbá in search of immortality.

Surrounded by hills, the site features over 8 caves, each with unique characteristics. Visitors can navigate more than 2 kilometers of underground river and swim in crystal-clear pools beneath natural rock.

Isla Flores - Tikal - Isla Flores

Tikal National Park - Tikal, meaning “place of voices,” is one of the largest archaeological sites and urban centers of the Mayan civilization. Located in Flores, Petén, Guatemala, it is part of Tikal National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. The site’s glyphs suggest its Mayan name was Yax Mutul.

Isla Flores - Peten Itza Boat Ride - Yaxha - Isla Flores - Guatemala City

Lake Peten Itza - In the morning, guests will be picked up at their hotel to board a boat visiting points of interest on this beautiful lake.
Visitors will explore the ARCAS animal sanctuary, a non-profit Guatemalan Civil Association founded in 1989 by concerned citizens witnessing the rapid disappearance of their cultural heritage, especially wildlife.
The tour also includes the King Canek viewpoint, located in the Petén jungle, offering panoramic views of Lake Petén Itzá and Flores Island. Departure to Yaxha follows.

Yaxha - The Yaxhá archaeological site, also known as “Tierras Bajas Centrales,” is in Petén, near the lake of the same name. Discovered in 1904 by explorer Teobert Maler, it features a series of artificial levelings forming one of the “best examples of Mayan urbanism,” with over 500 buildings connected by causeways and paved roads.

Guatemala City Tour

Guatemala City - This tour offers a unique perspective of Guatemala City.
Visitors will explore the civic center, Calvario church, 6th avenue, San Francisco church, the old Guatemala club, the post and telegraph building, and the central market, concluding at the central square.
