The Festival of Giant Kites: A singular event that occurs annually on November 1st, a day of commemoration for all saints. It is a day families revisit the memories of their dearly departed, pay visits to cemeteries, and pay homage to their lives. People from the Mayan communities converge between June and November to craft traditional, giant kites decorated with particular patterns and inscriptions, utilizing multicolored tissue paper.
