Guatemala - San Salvador.
San Salvador - We will drive from Antigua or Guatemala City, and after a 4-hour journey, we will arrive in San Salvador. We will explore the city with a walking tour and visit Joyas del Cerén. Accommodation will be in San Salvador.
Parque Arqueológico Joya de Cerén - This incredible site, often referred to as “The Mayan Pompeii,” was buried and preserved by a volcanic eruption.
Salvador - Honduras.
Copan Ruinas - After visiting Joyas del Cerén, we will drive to Honduras, arriving in the charming town of Copan Ruinas. We will visit the Copan Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its sculptures and art, including the Sculpture Museum.
Honduras - Guatemala
Archaeological Park and Ruins of Quirigua - We will depart early at 5 am with a boxed breakfast. Upon arrival at Quirigua, we will see the tallest stela in the Mayan world and the largest collection of zoomorphic stones.
Río Dulce - Tikal.
Tikal - We will depart early in the morning from Río Dulce to Tikal, where you will have the entire afternoon to explore the site, including temples, palaces, plazas, and the acropolis, and to watch the sunset. The hotel is located within the national park.
Guatemala - Belize.
Belize Cayes - We will transfer to Belize City early in the morning and take a water taxi to Caye Caulker. Snorkeling and diving are optional activities. In the afternoon, we will return to the island of Flores.
Flores - Guatemala City
Guatemala City - We will take an early flight to Guatemala City, arriving around 9 am. You will have the option to take a city tour or stay in Antigua Guatemala.
