Pick up from our hotel... - Pick up from our hotel was on time and our guide Nicolas was very knowledgeable about Lake Atitlan and Mayan history. Nicolas made sure to hit all the spots listed in the itinerary and kept us on time without feeling pressured to rush. We luckily ended up having a private tour since it was a weekday and had a good shopping day around the lake supporting many local craft vendors without feeling pressured to buy, but all the products (chocolate, honey, and textiles) were good quality, unique souvenirs to bring home with educational demonstrations on how they are made. Breakfast at Chichoy restaurant was delicious as well.

Perfect tour with perfect guide! - We did a daytour to Lake Atitlan from Antigua and it was perfect. Our driver Marlon was right on time and very friendly and asked for our wishes. Our guide Joel was the best guide ever! He taught us a lot about Mayan culture and is very funny. We felt like we were in good hands with Joel and Marlon and would recommend this company to anyone.

Highlight of our trip to Guatemala! - Our trip to Guatemala was a short trip and I wanted to do as much as possible but at the same time didn’t want to over do it. I read the reviews and thought this would be too much and we wouldn’t enjoy it. I am glad I didn’t listen and booked it! It was perfect from beginning to end. First the actual trip was long about 2 1/2 hours but not treacherous as I had envisioned. We left our air b and b at 6 and were sitting down and having breakfast at 8:30 am. The driver Sergio was so nice and accommodating. But the highlight was our tour guide Joel. He is Mayan and speaks the language. He was knowledgeable, funny and fun! I would do this trip again! We visited three villages and did not feel rushed. We arrived at 7 back to Antigua.

San Juan La Laguna and San Pedro visits - A great day seeing and experiencing the culture, people and natural beauty of the Lake Atitlan villages. Our guide Eduardo, driver Osman and boat captain were all excellent. Thanks for a fun and informative day!

Great Day at Atitlan - We went on a private tour to Lake Atitlan with Byron. We visited San Pedro and San Juan and came back and had dinner in Panajechal. We could've visited one more place but we took our time in each. Byron was patient and knowledgeable and gave us space when we needed it. The car was always clean and ready.
The towns were vibrant and had great energy. It's a full 3 hours drive each way from Antigua so keep that in mind, but it's worth it. We actually could've used a second day there.
He picked us up from our Airbnb at 6am returned us right to our front door later that evening. Highly recommend.

Day on Lake Atitlán - We really enjoyed this trip to Lake Atitlán. We had a nice conversation with our driver. We really appreciated our guide, Samuel. He was very knowledgeable about the area and shared a lot about each community we to. The towns are colorful and the people are also gracious. Samuel was attentive to our needs and helped us out. We had beautiful day on the lake.

The Most Beautiful Lake!!! - My tour to Lake Atitlan, by Gtbusinessandtravel, had a very pleasant experience especially services provided by Marlon he was very helpful and gave excellent service, he is an amazing person and made me feel very comfortable. My guide at The lake was Joel, and I was very impressed with how much he was able to share with us about this beautiful place . Wonderful Tour & Amazing Travel Company - Had a wonderful time with GT Business and Travel, they organized two tours for us, Atitlan which was amazing with a wonderful local guide who took us to three of the towns on the lake. We were able to learn a lot about the local Maya culture as well as how different outside cultures have mixed with Maya culture to create what we see today. Our guide Joel was amazing, knowledgeable, friendly and the trip would not have been half the experience without him. I loved beautiful Atitlan and my time there.
Additionally they also organized a day trip to Tikal which was also wonderful and well put together. we had a private driver and guide as well who made the experience comfortable and simple. We learned a lot about the region as well as got to climb the various temples throughout Tikal national park.
The company as a whole was great, well organized. Our main point of contact Byron was extremely helpful and communicative making sure that all of our private drivers were able to easily connect with us without hassle. Transition points during our trip were without any stress because of this.
We also had amazing private drivers during our stay. A special shout out to Marlon who made us feel safe, comfortable and also shared a lot of valuable information about the country which enhanced our experience as well. I would recommend the Atitlan tour as well as Tikal with GT business and travel and will be using them again when i inevitably return to Guatemala in the future.

Beautiful Lake Atitlán with an Exceptional Driver, Marlon! - We had an amazing time at Lake Atitlán, thanks largely to the breathtaking scenery and our exceptional driver, Marlon. He was fun, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable, with excellent English—far better than our tour guide. While our guide was a native local and clearly tried his best, the language barrier made it difficult to fully enjoy and understand the cultural and historical context. Thankfully, Marlon bridged the gap on our return trip, providing valuable insights and correcting missing details.
We also loved visiting a textile shop, where the lady’s engaging introduction was a highlight. Overall, the trip was good, but it could have been even better with a stronger guide. Huge thanks to Marlon for making it a memorable experience!
