At 09:30 am, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel to start the journey to Kazbegi. The first highlight of the trip will be the Zhinvali Dam, a hydroelectric structure on the Aragvi River located amidst the Caucasus Mountains in Zhinvali, Georgia. Next, we’ll explore the Ananuri fortress nestled on the banks of the Aragvi River.
After that, we’ll visit Gudauri, a remarkable ski resort in Georgia, located at a height of 2200 meters above sea level. After a brief stop at the friendship monument signifying the bond between Georgia and Russia, our journey continues to Kazbegi.
Here, we venture into the elevated regions of the Caucasus Mountain. As we reach a height of 2395 m on the Cross Pass, we’ll take a few breaks to enjoy the mineral water and appreciate the snow-capped mountain peaks. To access GergetiHoly Trinity Church, located at an elevation of 2170 m, we will switch to a four-wheel drive vehicle. We’ll visit the top of Mount Gergeti and gaze at the Holy Trinity Church from the 14th century. The church majestically stands on top of Stephantsminda and under the magnificent Kazbegi peak (5033m).
