This light show takes place on the River Li and features 600 performers. The river serves as the stage, while the karst mountains provide a stunning backdrop, making the entire performance spectacular. By day, the actors are farmers, but in the evening, they participate in the show to depict local village life, both past and present. The actresses belong to the Dong minority and also showcase their life in remote areas. None of the performers are celebrities. The main theme of the show is to reflect local life and Chinese culture. The director is the same person who orchestrated the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
