汉语课 - I wish my school lessons had been as much fun and educational as Becky's one-on-one Mandarin class. I enjoyed each and every one - Becky has a great sense of humour and FANTASTIC laugh! Highly recommended

Personalized Chinese Language Lessons - I recently had 10 one hour private lessons in Chinese with a lovely young woman by the first name of Becky. She came to the Yangshuo Traditional Tai Chi School once per week for me as well as for a few of the other students. Becky was very attentive to my lack of understanding. We began by learning single words that I wanted to know so as to get around town easily. From there she taught me the Pinyin form of Chinese, the tones, and proper sentence structures. I have learned quite a lot in the short time in which she was my teacher. It has been much easier for me to get around now knowing how to ask for and direct a taxi to where I wish to go, ask for the bill or the toilet in a restaurant, change large notes for smaller notes at the bank, etc. I would recommend Becky to anyone interested in learning the Chinese Language in a heart beat! She is very personable, quite compassionate and has a great sense of humor. So I would say that you need look no further and give Becky a call. You won’t regret it! Cheers! G. Shaffer

Fantastic teacher and a great person! - I have had two trips to China this year (summer for a month and winter for 2 weeks) and both times I had almost daily Mandarin lessons with Becky. I felt that my level improved greatly after both trips. Becky has a very patient manner, is very friendly, knowledgeable, and her lessons are always interesting - with challenges at just the right level. I would highly recommend her - and I personally can't wait to get back to continue our lessons!

Excellent teacher! - I had Chinese classes with Becky whilst staying in Yangshuo and she is a great teacher! She made classes fun and interesting, I always felt like I learned a lot and she kept me motivated to keep learning. Excellent! - As a high-level learner, it’s not easy to find a capable teacher who can help me with my fossilized errors, but Becky was able to suggest ways for me to improve. I had a lot of fun in her lessons, but I also always finished the class with my brain fried as it was actually a lot of work! I’m planning to keep working with her even when I’m not in China and have my lessons online! Highly recommended to every level!

Excellent teacher - Becky is my first real Chinese teacher. Her best ability is that she is very flexible and her prices are good. She is so flexible that she came to visit me for a month, almost everyday, to teach me Chinese when I was in the hospital and was bed bound even bringing me groceries as well. She taught me my first word in Chinese "toilet" which was very helpful when in the hospital. After a few months when I was stuck again with my Chinese she came to help me. I'm very grateful to have met her and to have a lot of lessons with her. Without her my Chinese would still be very bad so I give my teacher 5 stars. Thank you so much Becky. Zai jian!

Great teacher, great location - I had been to Yangshuo before and had also been studying Chinese with 6 Becky before. Yangshuo has a wonderful water and mountain landscape and is great for cycling and hiking. Becky is a great teacher and understands the difference in the way of thinking of Chinese Westerner which is really helpful in analysing her students' problems. She is a really reliable and helpful person and can help organising tours or trips to other places and in case you run into any problems she will know what to do... I will definitely come back to Yangshuo and take Chinese lessons with Becky again.

Learn Chinese with a fantastic teacher in the best city in China! - I have been taking Chinese lessons with Becky off and on for 9 years. I have had many lessons with her, both as a younger traveler learning survival Chinese and as an experienced speaker discussing advanced topics. As a teacher, she is as good as it gets. She has 9 years of experience teaching foreigners of all backgrounds. She tailors her lesson plans to your specific needs and skill level. As an individual, she is enthusiastic and personable. She has a strong intellectual curiosity that makes her a great conversationalist. We have had long discussions on everything from Chinese calligraphy to cryptocurrency ICOs to traditional foot massage. Furthermore she is a long time Yangshuo resident with the very best tips on restaurants, activities, and local culture. Whether you are in town for a few days looking for a fun cultural activity or you are looking for a full immersion language experience (I have been to Yangshuo for both), Becky has my highest recommendation.

Excellent teacher - My husband and I had the pleasure of studying beginners' Chinese with Becky when we were staying in Yangshuo for three weeks. Becky is an excellent teacher - knowledgable, engaging, enthusiastic, demanding (in the best possible way!), fun, talented and generous with her time and energy. We only had a *very short* amount of time to learn with her, but I came away with a basic understanding of the grammar, pronunciation, etc. and a deep appreciation for this beautiful language, plus some useful words and phrases to see us through the rest of our journey through China. Becky spent time with us outside the classroom which we appreciated because of the chance to see / use Chinese in real world situations but also just because she is so much fun and just a genuinely nice person. I’d happily recommend her to anyone interested in studying Chinese.

Great teacher and person - I had the pleasure of being taught by Becky when I visited Yangshuo. Not only was she knowledgeable about the Chinese language, but she was also able to effectively teach a beginner like me through various techniques. Outside of the lessons, she was very personable and took a couple of us cycling through the magnificent countryside of Yangshuo to one of her calligraphy lessons. (Yangshuo is such a beautiful place!!) I decided to continue with one to one tuition over Skype when I was back in the UK. She was flexible and we were able to continue with lessons even with the different time zones. She was very patient with me and organised. I would recommend Becky as a teacher 😇
