Awesome trip, awesome guide - I had so much fun on this tour, my guide Lily was amazing and made sure we had a good time and were taken care of. She even helped us get train tickets at the station for our next day departure. The mountains throughout the region were beautiful and the activities of boating on the river, scootering along the rice fields and going up the hill highlighted the scenery nicely. This was my third trip with trippest and will use them again. I definitely recommend this tour and trippest as a whole!

Wonderful Tour led by a wonderful guide, Lily. - Easy on time pick-up from our hotel. All activities were well organised - Lily altered itinerary sequence to ensure we had the best experience - eg. we headed to the rafting first to ensure we experienced the beautiful river and mountain scenery before the crowds and cruise boats arrived. Lunch at the Secret Garden Restaurant was delicious and the bike-riding was a great experience. Views from Xianggong Hill were amazing. We never felt rushed and at no stage did we have to wait around or queue for ages. We chose not to head in to Yangshuo for dinner and the Show, but returned early evening to our Guilin hotel where Lily ensured there was somewhere we could enjoy dinner. The tour van driver was excellent. Lily was very informative and related well with all members of our small (5 person) group. It was a great day!

Amazing Scenic Views - My wife and I went on this mini tour in late October 2019, and it was an amazing experience for us as first-time visitors to this area. The tour guide (Mr. Yang) was wonderful and provided excellent information about local habits-lifestyle and took us to a restaurant to eat some of their area famous food - sticky rice and chicken soup cooked in bamboo over a pitted fire - fabulous meal! We also stopped at the old town in Yangshuo during the day and while it was not as busy in the day, we were told that area is always bustling and jammed pack in the evenings. While the scenes were spectacular, Mr. Yang added to this very memorable trip for us with his wealth of information. A big thank you to Mr. Yang, as he spent more than 8 hours that day to take care of us. William Lui

One-Day Yangshuo and Li River Rafting - Lili was our excellent guide. Our family of five had a bit of everything, driving, rafting, walking, and cycling. Beyond the expected guidance of the places and attractions we visited, Lili opened her heart and shared with us the challenges and triumphs of life in rural China. Lili was flexible to make changes that we asked for, such as deviations to local markets, off the path of the regular tour. Lili is an avid photographer and helped us with optimizing our photos from the area. I recommend the tour and Lili.

Enjoyable tour despite weather - This is an excellent tour, though the risk is always that the weather won't be great - as was the case when I did the tour. That can mean visibility of the amazing scenery is limited. However full credit to tour guide Lily for ensuring that we visiting the key areas at the right times so that we made the best of the day. Being in a small group ensures great flexibility and scheduling changes to make the most from the day. And the knowledge and friendliness of Lily (as well as her photography skills) made this a memorable experience

Great day! - Our guide was amazing! Because of heavy rains the day before our scheduled tour, the hill we hiked up to was mostly fogged in. The climb up was beautiful though. We went at the beginning of the rainy season so we knew it was a possibility. We also couldn't do the bamboo raft since the rivers were swollen. Instead we visited the Silver Cave, which was amazing. Although, being on the river was why we choose to visit the area our tour guide tried to find things to do to make it as enjoyable. I LOVED the bike ride along the river. It was so peaceful and the karst mountains are amazing. I also loved eating lunch at the Secret Garden. The food was great but visiting the stone village was like walking back in time. It was also great to learn how they make traditional fans from hand. It was fun to try it ourselves. I'd highly recommend this tour to get a feel of Yangshou and to see the sights.

Mini Group Day Tour: One-Day Yangshuo and Li River Highlights Tour - The tour was great. There were only 2 persons and the guide (plus the driver of course). The tour guide, Yang was really professional, informative and passionate about her work. She was also one of the most polite persons I have ever met. The view of karst landscape from the top of Xianggong Hill was amazing and really worth of climbing up quite steep flights of stairs for nearly 15 minutes. Bicycle ride in Yangshuo’s Countryside - very peaceful and relaxing with lots of stops for the photos. Chinese lunch in a restaurant called Secret Garden was really tasty. We ordered a few different dishes to share. Sizzling beef with vegetables and Yangshuo duck in batter were my favourite. And of course the raft ride on the Li River was amazing. The rafts would accomodate up to four passangers and take you to the most scenic parts of the river. Before booking this tour I thought of taking a different one with a regular bigger tourist boat but I don't regret taking this one with the small rafts instead. The seats were comfortable. The engine did not make unbearable noise. It was really a tranquil ride which perfectly ended the tour.

I think this was my most favorite trip/site in all of China! - Mystical, magical, breath-taking...adjectives defy the beauty of the Guilin countryside we experienced on our tour with Trippest (China Highlights) this past fall. From the hike to the peak of Xianggong Hill to see the Hills and the Li River, to the bike ride through the Yangshuo countryside, to lunch at the beautiful Secret Garden restaurant, to fan painting in a little ancient village, to a raft ride on the Li River, it felt as though we had stumbled into heaven. Chasen, our guide that day, was an absolute delight. We could not have had a kinder, more informative, or interesting guide than Chasen. We were so sorry that we had already booked another tour company for a tour to the Longji Rice Terraces the next day as we so enjoyed our experience with Chasen. Trippest, you knocked it out of the park with this tour!

All the highlights in one day - wonderful guide! - I'm so glad I opted to do this tour rather than try to see these things on my own. We were able to do things that either take forever on a bus or are expensive in a taxi. (e.g., getting from Yangshuo to Guilin after the show is tricky because the new Guilin bus station is far outside town and the shuttle buses from there into town stop running at 10pm. You can take a taxi, but esp. since I was traveling alone, I decided to pay to have the Trippest driver wait and bring me back.) My guide Lily was great - she spoke great English, had interesting stories, and was incredibly helpful. We did a short hike to an overlook that was pretty even in the fog, stopped at a beautiful ancient bridge, had a local Guilin-style noodle lunch, scooter-ed along the river in the countryside (it was gorgeous!), painted Chinese fans (the small village was really neat and the artist was very helpful and friendly), took a bamboo raft trip and saw the Nine Painted Horses, then I opted for dinner in Yangshuo followed by the Impression Sanjie Liu show. The show was really interesting and pretty - it's set on the river with mountains in the background. It's performed in Mandarin but I could still follow - it's not a story, it showcases how 4 different minority ethnic groups celebrate their annual festivals. I was the only one on the tour, so the driver was willing to wait for me and drive me and the guide back to Guilin afterward. It was a great, fun-filled day!
