3 Tours/Memorable Family Trip - Yourtours was a pleasure to work with from the first email exchange. The company was very responsive and transparent. Planning an overseas trip for 6 people with 3 being of them being over 90 years old with mobility and special health issues was a huge concern and Yourtours and their caring staff really made the process a less stressful and enjoyable one. We felt we were in good hands. We booked our airport to hotels transfer as well as 3 full day tours with 1 tour being a custom tour. Yourtours recognized our specific special needs and limitations and provided support to meet them. The logistical coordination and communication were amazing. We were met by Pascal S. at the airport. He was a warm and very friendly greeting after a long overnight flight which was so nice. He was very kind and super efficient and went above and beyond helping us get our 16+ pieces of luggage plus 3 walkers settled with the transport and then he rode with us to our hotel and made sure we were all set with check in. We did 3 days of tours. Porto, a custom Chaves tour designed for my 93year old father, and Braga & Guimaraes. I can’t begin to say enough wonderful things about our tour guide Nuno M. He was so friendly, considerate, caring, kind, infinitely patient, and his in depth knowledge of the geographical area and Portugal’s rich history, culture and food made the tours very enjoyable and extremely interesting. We learned so much and looked forward to each days tours. Nuno went out of his way to make sure our seniors especially my father, could access as much of the tour itinerary as possible. He was inclusive of them and their needs as well as making sure we still got to see such special places. If we couldn’t get out and walk an area due to our groups physical limitations, he made sure we still saw everything as close as he could get us in our vehicle. Nuno was particularly great with my parents and aunt. Always mindful of their needs and always lending a hand to make sure everyone was able to enjoy his tours safely and at a pace that was manageable. We never felt rushed. All of our lunches were included as well as afternoon stops for local pastries and beverages. It was nice to not have to be concerned about any of the extras. The food was plentiful, traditional and delicious. We got to know Nuno through our wonderful mealtime conversations and we were sad to part ways. He gave us an experience we will never forget and his special care for what this trip meant for all of us but especially for my father we will be forever thankful for. Pascal checked in with us daily and personally made sure our seniors made it safely back to the airport for our next flight. That is the personal care we received and it really made a difference in our trip. If we ever are able to travel to Portugal again someday we would not hesitate to book with Yourtours again. Outstanding experience start to finish. Thank you!

Amazing experience - I went to Braga and Guimarães with family and we had an amazing time! We were greeted warmly by Pedro who guided us throughout both cities. The scenery was unbelievable! Not only was seeing all the great architecture surreal, but the history Pedro provided us was quite insightful. The food picked out for us during the tour was delicious as well. Overall, this was one of the best tours we’ve been on and we definitely recommend others going!

Braga and guimares two stunning must see towns!! - We had a great time with our guide Pedro. He first took us to Braga and the Bom Jesus basilica. Absolutely stunning! The gardens are also immaculate. Then we toured Braga itself and had a fabulous lunch. Next we drove to Guimares which is the birthplace of Portugal in the 1100’s. What a perfectly preserved town from medieval times. Honestly the prettiest two towns we’ve seen in all of Portugal, including Lisbon and Porto. You really have to find time to visit this area and I’d advise taking this private tour.

Andre MADE this tour! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Our guide was Andre and this was the best tour we have ever had. I travel frequently in Europe and this one ranks in the top 5. It's all about your guide. Andre had everything planned out, he knew where he was, what he was doing, how long he planned to spend in each place...and yet he was also flexible. My 81 year old Dad couldn't do all the walking, so Andre improvised and it was much appreciated. Yes, the churches and areas are absolutely beautiful but your guide makes or breaks the tour. My only suggestion would be a different restaurant for lunch. We did not think the food was great and the wine and beer were below mediocre. Everything else was as close to perfect as you can get. This tour is worth the time and money and you should request Andre!

Great time in Braga and Guimaries - Tiago was a great tour guide. He was professional, curteous, very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the two Towne we visited. He knew how to maneuver around town to maxmize our sight seeing time and minimize time waiting in traffic, etc. The Snacks and lunch provided were great. I would Highlights recommend this trip to anyone considering a private tour

Amazing Tour! - Pedro arrived on time and is super easy going. He is very knowledgeable and great fun to hang around with which is always great in a tour guide. He was flexible and brought us to great restaurants (some hidden gems!). We had 2 young kids with us and they loved him. We would definitely have Pedro guide us again when we are in Porto.

HISTORY and World Heritage Sites not to be missed - Sylvia is an excellent guide. She is knowledgeable and passionate about Portugal, its culture and history. It was a long day with memorable stops in the historic cities and exploration of UNESCO World Heritage sites. The only critique would be lunch. It was good, but given the nature of this tour of history, we would have preferred a local Tasca. We are very glad we selected this tour during our trip to Porto.

So much fun - Pascal was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and entertaining.. it was a blend of history art and architecture with a touch of wine. We had a great day and would do it again.

Great Day Exploring the Historical Highlights of Braga and Guimaraes - Pedro was an excellent guide. In addition to the tour itself covering historical highlights, we were treated to a delicious, authentic Portuguese lunch in Braga in a local restaurant that we may not have found on our own. We stopped for pastries - Tibias, as custard filled Braga speciality, in the morning and then a hazelnut pasteis in the afternoon in Guimaraes. We visited historical sites with beautiful views in both towns. Pedro was knowledgeable, energetic, conscientious and friendly. He is easy to talk with and interested in learning more as he goes and sharing that with his tourists. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day, covered a lot of ground efficiently and felt like we got a very good flavor for both Braga and Guimaraes. Pedro was always accommodating, easy going and customer oriented. Thanks for a great day!

Fabulous Day! - We took this full-day tour in March 2022 with Raquel. Raquel picked us up promptly at our hotel to start our day and was very pleasant and knowledgeable about everything we were doing. Our first stop was at Bom Jesus Sanctuary. Raquel explained everything we would see before we ascended the steps. This is an extraordinary site, not to be missed. After her detailed description of the area, we had time on our own to climb the steps and view the grounds before Raquel took us inside the church and offered further information. From here, Raquel took us to Braga where we enjoyed some local pastries and wine and a lovely tour of the area. We were then treated to a typical Portuguese lunch at a local, family run restaurant that was well off the tourist scene. We finished up in Guimaraes with a private tour of the Palace of the Dukes. Raquel's knowledge was incredible since she once worked as a guide inside the Palace. Raquel was a fabulous host for our tour. She even went out of her way to help my husband with some unexpected shopping that he had to do. Even before the day was over, we were talking about returning to both Braga and Guimaraes. I highly recommend this tour and Raquel as a guide.
