• Kaiyang County - Our English-speaking tour guide and driver will pick you up from your centrally located Guiyang hotel lobby at 7:00 am. We will then drive for about two hours to visit the Hoer Tiankeng scenic area. Located in the middle of Kaiyang County, Tiankeng is a karst funnel formed by crustal movement. The pit measures 310 meters in diameter and 290 meters deep, with the largest diameter being 280 meters. It is named “monkey ear” due to its resemblance to monkey ears. Over tens of millions of years, rainwater erosion and the underground water system have continuously eroded the strata, eventually forming a massive underground cavity.
• Nanjiang Grand Canyon - After lunch (at your own expense), we will head to Nanjiang Grand Canyon. The canyon features karst formations, waterfalls, and diverse ecology, with steep mountainsides on both banks making the river valley both beautiful and imposing. It combines mountains, water, cliffs, forests, peaks, creeks, springs, waterfalls, and trees in a stunning wilderness with both aesthetic and scientific value. The canyon stretches over 40 kilometers, with the highest peak reaching 398 meters. Scientific examinations reveal that the Nanjiang Valley is ancient and deep, showcasing a typical low Zhongshan gorge landscape that is both magnificent and graceful. The canyon boasts more than 80 natural landscapes and over 40 different styles of waterfalls. Afterward, we will return to the Guiyang hotel.
