Heavily crowded temple - Visited recently. The temple is always crowded with hugh queue for darshan. You can get darshan fast by paying extra money but it also takes one hour. All devotees are given free prasadam / bhog everyday.

Wait for Darshan too long - We went very early (7am) to the temple on a Sunday. The line was too long already and the expected time for darshan was likely to be 4/5 hours. For a shorter wait you can purchase a ticket of Rs.500/- per head. Even with that ticket you would still have to wait about 2 hours. Since we were in Guwahati for only 2 days could not afford that much wait time. The temple complex is fairly clean (as can be maintained with thousands of devotees throwing wrappers, fruit peels etc). There is a hall where live sacrifices can be made. There are goats in the complex that an be bought for sacrifice. It is an interesting complex with a pond and smaller temples. Missed the darshan but enjoyed the liveliness & pious atmosphere. Better planning by us as regards the day & time may have resulted in getting darshan
