The metropolis’ heart is adorned with two renowned churches and the Dzitoghtsyan Museum, colloquially recognized as the Museum of Architecture and Folk Life. The Black Fortress, a deserted imperial fort constructed by the Russians, is positioned within the bounds of Gyumri. This fortification, sited 8 kilometers away from the Turkish frontier, was built as a reaction to the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829. It is one of the top stunning and historically significant landmarks in Armenia!
