Highly recommend!! Highlight of our trip! - We did the Ha Giang loop tour by vehicle and absolutely loved it! It's hard to write a review that emphasizes how much we really loved this tour and would recommend to others. The scenery was beautiful and unmatched to anything I had seen before. I was shocked at how it could keep getting better around every turn for three days straight. A lot of people do the loop by motorbike, and there are some definite perks to that, but we were really happy we chose a vehicle (we are in our mid 30s if that makes a difference). We did not have the best weather on the loop so the car was a super comfortable way to get around, and it was easy to talk to each other throughout the entire experience. It was just the two of us on the tour so we essentially had our own personal tour guide which was great. We really liked having it be just the two of us and the comfort of a vehicle, but I could see others really enjoying the motorbike experience. Just depends what you are looking for. If I were to do this tour with a motorbike, I would try to be flexible with my days for weather reasons. The accommodations along the way were all pretty simple but did the trick, and there was a lot of food provided. The food was often family style and the tour guide would choose a bunch of different dishes for us to try so we could just sit down and eat a bunch of local cuisines. It really felt like an immersive experience: getting to stop in local villages, learn about the culture, and eat their traditional foods. Would highly recommend this tour in particular, but just doing the ha giang loop in any form, as it was one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip.

Spectacular views and an experience not to forget - Totally recommend Opi and his team of drivers. We opted for the 3 day 2 night by car. Originally was going to go by bike, but circumstances changed and we did the route in a car. While not as intoxicating and thrilling as being on a bike, it was at times definitely more comfortable (when it was cold, rained or going through the construction zones) . I think we saw all the same stops which were absolutely incredible. Our driver was Bon - who was a delight. We made a new friend and was so comfortable to be around. This was definitely a highlight of my Vietnam trip and I highly recommend Ha Giang Road Trip - as they were all awesome.

Amazing tour - small groups - Amazing tour, very small group and you get to stop in all the main stops and your guide will explain about the locals culture, it was amazing. Lemonthain was our guide and he was really good; very caring and very funny all the time. We get to join the locals for dinner and have a good time with them too.

Ha Giang Loop Tour - Thank you to the company for employing such a thought , considerate and skill driver as we had in Diet Viet Hung. Hung was knowledgeable, spoke quite good English and only occasionally did we have to clarify what was said. He gave us his full attention throughout the trip, making sure we had everything we needed and was great company. We are travelers from Aotearoa New Zealand , and would have liked to have done the journey on motorcycles, however we were unable to do so. We think the travel by car with Hung replicated the experience as much as possible, including the unique and spectacular scenery, contact with local people, hair raising driving and roads, local restaurant/coffee stop offs and great home stay accommodation made this a fantastic trip.

A spectacular tour - We experienced the Ha Giang loop over 3 days and 2 nights by car and it was spectacular. The route took us through mountains with the most unbelievable scenery, villages with the colourful H’Mong tribe, we swam in a waterfall but the highlight for me was trekking for 5-6 km along the mountains and valley and watching the people working in the rice fields and small farms. We have to give a special mention to our tour guide Steve, he took great care of us, & was from the area so had a great knowledge of the history and culture, he helped make the experience great fun. Our driver Thuan, was careful and competent & his large jeep/ minivan was a luxury to travel in. I can’t recommend this trip enough the homestay is great fun and you get to meet the family and their way of life.

Amazing trip To a unique place - We had a great driver who kept us safe and was knowledgeable about the area. The scenery was magnificent and we loved the opportunity to see the various ethnic groups and to try all kinds of food. This is a unique part of the world and worth a few days of anyone’s time.

Unique experience , worth the money - With our, Hmong origin, driver Tsung we had 3 wonderfull days in an astonishing Ha Giang loop tour. 3d, 2n ( enough, needs no more..) with a very convenied car we saw all the beautiness of this 'must seen' part of Vietnam. Close to china, much local culture, incredible views, good talks and information from Tsung, good lunch&dinner stops, good accomodation for the nights. Every thing was good and very much worth the money! Highly recommendated

Ha Giang know the rules before you go. then enjoy the people and nature. - If you don't have a motorcycle license don't plan on a trip here on your own motorbike or scooter. The police won't allow a basic drivers license. If you have a motorcycle license go to AAA and get an international drivers permit. That is recognized I check with the local Ha Giang police senior officer (whever 2 stars represents). I saw many tourists get their bikes impounded and huge headaches. If you don't have a motorcycle license just hire a guide they are low in cost and know the roads. They do go fast so hang on to your helmet. Oh and a note on safety, my Hanoi friend spun out in a corner, and we had to clean some wounds. These roads are dangerous stay in lower gears and take your time. Get some motorcycle gloves for sure. Oh and it can get cold and wet. It is a big investment of time to drive 7 hours by bus to be diappointed in now driving by yourself so plan accordingly.
