A Journey to the Heart of Vietnam

When I first heard about the Vietnam Homestay experience, I was immediately intrigued. We even had the chance to attend a H’mong wedding, a vibrant and joyous celebration that offered a glimpse into the rich traditions of the region.

Hieu’s passion for tea and his dedication to sourcing clean, quality leaves was evident in every aspect of the tour. His wife prepared a spectacular meal for us before we embarked on the Ha Giang loop, and it was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Vietnam. The flavors were so authentic and satisfying that they rivaled the Michelin-starred restaurants I’d visited in Hanoi.

Riding the Ha Giang Loop

The Ha Giang loop itself was an adventure in its own right. Riding on the back of a bike, I was able to take in the stunning scenery without the stress of navigating the winding roads myself. Hieu and his team ensured our safety at all times, driving at a comfortable pace and allowing us to walk when the terrain became too challenging.

The loop offered some of the most spectacular views I’ve ever seen, with towering mountains, lush valleys, and cascading waterfalls at every turn. We stayed in charming accommodations along the way, each offering a unique glimpse into the local way of life. The small, private nature of the tour allowed for meaningful conversations with Hieu and his team, deepening my understanding of Vietnamese culture and history.
