Ha Giang - We will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi and start our journey. You will notice the landscape changing as we travel north, before stopping in Tuyen Quang for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch you can sit back and continue enjoying the amazing scenery, before arriving in Yen Minh around 17:00 at which time you’ll have free time to explore this charming Dzao village as well as the twin mountains of Tam Son. Dinner in the homestay will consist of some local specialties before you settle in for an overnight stay with your Dzao host family.
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - Quan Ba Heaven Gate is one of the 5 most beautiful heaven gates in Vietnam and is a place to take breathtakingly beautiful photos that are of interest to tourists everywhere. If you accidentally admire the beautiful sparkling photos taken here, or just hear briefly about this heavenly gate in Ha Giang, then it will certainly be difficult for you to “resist” the desire to travel to this place right away. This. Let’s explore with Origin Vietnam what’s so attractive about Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate!
Yen Minh – Dong Van – Meo Vac – Ha Giang (B, L, D)
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After stopping at the immigration office to purchase the mandatory travel permit we set out into Ha Giang proper. We make a stop along the way at the H’mong Palace, a beautiful structure constructed by the French and Chinese, leading to an interesting fusion of styles.
We then travel to Meo Vac Valley across Ma Pi Leng Pass, which perches on the very edge of a mountain range and offers some breath-taking views over the Nho Que River. You then descend into the valley, arriving in Ha Giang Town at around 18:00 for dinner and an overnight stay in a Tay homestay.
Dinh Vua Meo - Located in the Sa Phin Valley is the palace of the Hmong kings who ruled large parts of Vietnam’s northern Ha Giang province in the early 20th century.
Vuong Chinh Sinh Palace, also known Vua Meo (King of the Hmong), was built in 1902 and was the seat of power of two Hmong rulers. The Hmong people had dominated the region since settling there centuries before after migrating from southern China. The first of these rulers was aligned with the French colonial powers, while the second supported Ho Chi Minh’s fight for independence.
Ma Pi Leng Pass - Ma Pi Leng Pass is a breathtaking mountain pass in Northern Vietnam, specifically in Ha Giang Province. Renowned for its awe-inspiring beauty, it is often considered one of the most scenic passes in Southeast Asia. The pass cuts through the majestic limestone peaks of Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a UNESCO-recognized site.
Ha Giang – Hanoi (B, L)
Ha Giang - As you return to Hanoi, we will take you on the less trafficked route back to the capital, following a snaking a river and going from one amazing mountain pass to the next. You are likely to get a lot of attention from the locals here whenever we stop, as they rarely see foreign travellers. Eventually we stop in Duong Lam Village for lunch and some exploration of the hundreds of ancient houses located here before finishing our journey and arriving in Hanoi around sunset.
Duong Lam Ancient Village - Duong Lam Ancient Village is a special attraction for a Hanoi tour. It is the ideal choice if you are looking to explore the architecture of Vietnamese traditional houses and see the way of life of the rural people in Hanoi.
