Spectacular Trip!!! - Our private tour with Green Hill and Tinh was absolutely outstanding. Green Hill made us feel right at home and were gracious hosts. The loop was incredible and we had a blast driving and spending time with our guide Tinh. I truly can’t recommend this trip enough and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Excellent - Our 4 day/ 3 night private tour was by far the best experience we’ve had. The people running the show were so accomodating and catered to our every needs. The tour is very flexible in terms of stopping and taking photos etc. Our guide Tung spoke very good English which made communicating and the occasional banter along the way a breeze. I would 100% do this tour again.

One of the most amazing experiences you could imagine..... - My wife and I had such a fun time, awesome cultural immersion. An antidote to the tourism mayhem of Hoi An. We were easy riding with Thang and Guong, just the four of us, both Ha Giang locals. Thang spoke great english, we also brews happy water for his family and is a real foodie. Our small group made us a little more flexible for stopping anywhere roadside. We would meet up in the homestays at night with the larger groups at night, amazing meals, happy water and often karaoke. At our first lunch together Thang realised how much I loved nuoc cham (Vietnamese dipping sauce), the next meal it wasn't on the table, Thang disappeared for 5 minutes and came back with a bowl of nuoc cham he has just made. He did this for pretty much every one of the seven meals we shared together, he seemed to have access to all the restaurant kitchens, he seemed to know everone. Communication was with Huong (?sp.) via WhatsApp, very easy, she arranged transport from Hanoi, luxury sleeper bus which arrived at 3am, we went straight to bed in a little cottage and departed later that morning. HOT TIP: It is Spring over there now, somewhat unsettled weather, 15c cloudy with showers, 2 days later 32c with blazing sun. We were in Northern Vietnam + Da Nang/Hoi-An, Halong for 15 days, we only pre-booked our first two nights in Hanoi and remained completely flexible. We watched the weather forecast on Accuweather for Ha Giang and when we saw an upcoming nice weather window we booked our Ha Giang loop tour and has some lovely sunny weather including swimming. Even if you consider yourself an experienced motorbike rider don't be tempted to ride your own bike within the tour, to be able to sit on the back, take photos, drink a beer or two at lunch time and completely relax. The traffic 'rules' are amazing, it seems to work but it was great to have an expert in front. We saw two tourists who had had minor accidents with extensive grazing.

Amazing Adventure - This was a bucket list trip for me. Viator made it very easy to book and it was much more dependable than booking with tour groups in Hanoi. The tour operator for this adventure was Greenhill Homestay and they were wonderful and very helpful. Contacting them through Viator can also make it easy to get a bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang with a dropoff at the Homestay. That was a mistake for me as I booked on the internet and the bus dropped me off 20 miles from the Homestay. My guide was friendly and helpful. His English was good enough to communicate...and that is not always the case in Vietnam. The people I met on the road were crammed into large hostel rooms and this tour does not do that. I did meet some great people at each stop but if you want to be alone, that works as well if you have a private room which I paid a bit extra for....and it was worth every bit of what I paid. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

Fantastic adventure you won't want to miss! - This tour was amazing, one of the coolest things I've ever done. The landscape you see along the way is phenomenally beautiful. The tour is well organized and very enjoyable. Binh was our tour leader and took great care of us. He is 100% committed to the group, such as tirelessly taking photos of us at every viewpoint. The food and homestays are also good. The easy riders are very professional and can ride very well. They drive at a leisurely pace and very safely. I was a bit nervous because I had recently broken my arm in a scooter accident, but I felt safe on the back of Hoang. Highly recommended!

One of the most amazing experiences of our life - The tour was really incredible! We were just a small group and had a lovely spirit. Our guide Binh was super funny, helpful & safe in driving. My partner and I were self driving which was nice and I didn’t had the feeling we need to rush. Day 3 of 4 was a but challenging for not so experienced drivers, I’d say but it’s all so worth it! The homestays were lovely, the food really tasty (also vegan was no problem)! And of course, the landscape is breathtaking. Definitely worth to go!

Best 4 days with Thang and Hiep - book it - Booking this tour made the loop the best and easiest experience for us. We had Thanh and Hiep as easy riders and they are so amazing! Everything is thought about and planned so you can just enjoy the riding and the views. All the food and accommodation is great, Thang and Hiep are very familiar with the loop and know all the best places to stop for views and food. The home stays are perfect with big dinners, lots of happy water and karaoke after dinner. Highly highly recommend!!

Good atmosphere for meeting people. Not for an authentic trip far from mass tourism - good experience with binh and tinh We left for 4 days and three nights The hosts were very friendly and the atmosphere very cool. They took the time to show us little-known places during the stops. On the other hand, it is a very touristy route. You are never alone and sleep in rooms with other tour groups. And for your information, you are not sleeping with locals as written but in a type of youth hostel. As for stops, these are short breaks (5 to 20 mi) to observe a viewpoint. Sometimes we take buses crowded with tourists to quickly visit a point of interest. If you are aiming for an authentic solo trip far from mass tourism it is not ideal but if you want to spend 4 days messing around with tourists (mostly 20/30 years old) and nice guides it is Perfect
