Excellent day to Hanoi - We highly recommend this tour. Our driver picked us up at our ship pier to get to Hanoi and met our local tour guide. We had a great time visiting all the places we wanted and the company tailored it to our own desires. We had a walking tour to discover the town center with local food and it was amazing - it is now picked up in a list of must do things when visiting Hanoi we shared with our friends. Our guide in Hanoi was amazingly knowledgeable, informative and did a great job.

Best way to see Hanoi in a day from a ship. - The best way to see Hanoi in a day if you stop in Halong Bay. Excellent driver that picked us up right at the cruise ship and drove safely to the city. We unfortunately had a tire blowout on the way there and had to help the guide with the spare, but he had somebody come to change it very quickly so it all worked out well. we met the guide Ming in the city who is excellent. Very friendly and very knowledgeable about the history. thank you so much. Kent & Jeffrey

Excellent Day Trip/Shore Excursion to Hanoi - This made for a very nice day in Hanoi. The driver was very good and picked us up on time. The guide was able to time the stops perfectly to avoid lines and see the train coming through. This allowed us to see everything on the itinerary and still have time for lunch before heading back to the ship. He was very knowledgeable and gave us the option to eat in a nice restaurant or sample street food. We chose the street food option, which was absolutely the right choice and allowed us to eat like the locals do while watching the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. We tried several items that we probably wouldn't have been brave enough to do on our own and all were delicious!

Full and exhilarating day in Hanoi from cruise ship! - It isn't easy to find tours from Ha Long Bay cruise port to Hanoi because of the drive but we were determined and found this private tour. I didn't know what to expect exactly. There was some confusion about the start time and the non-English speaking driver had to wait for us. It was a 2.5 hour drive to Hanoi where we met our guide "Amy." There was also some hiccups about knowing exact open hours and gates. So it was kind of a slow start, but Amy found her rhythm, she and the driver moved us around Hanoi by car or on foot to take advantage of the time. Amy was knowledgeable and passionate about the city, it's history, people and culture. We especially enjoyed the food tour to a variety of different family-run street food stalls, enjoyed 10-12 different items, all delicious. We ended up near the mausoleum around sunset just as the park lights came on, very beautiful!! Our tour finished with a "cyclo" ride around the Old Quarter, then egg coffee as a final treat. Amy made sure we saw everything we wanted and went long on the tour, so we got back to the ship late but very satisfied. Thank you to Amy and the driver, I would highly recommend!

A good day in Hanoi - The best choice for the last city we visited in Vietnam during our trip on the Celebrity cruise. The journey from the port was quick, just 2 hours; We visited temples, pagodas, the Train Street Cafe and had a great time riding the cycle-rikshaw in Hanoi Old Town. We encourage you to try the gastronomic excursion with a walk through the city. It is the best experience we have had. It was amazing, and the round trip was so quick that it made up for our tour of Hanoi. There were others on our cruise who had to spend more than 3 hours getting to the city. This is undoubtedly the best option, as it offered transportation without stops at souvenir shops halfway along the route.

Excellent day tour - The day went perfectly as we wished. Pick up was super smooth and the drive to Hanoi took only 2 hours. Peter was our perfect ambassador for Hanoi, he brought us to all the sightseeing places and also showed us all the famous local food of Hanoi. Highly recommend this tour.
Try the train street coffee. Peter knows when the train moves across and it is very unique.

Excellent Halong boat trip and Hanoi tour - For 2 days free in Halong city as cruise docks, we booked the half day boat tour to Halong bay and also the full day tour to Hanoi. The boat was large and only for us and the experience was very nice. We had a great time enjoying Halong bay scenery and also visited the cave as well as took a small boat trip around the fishing village.
Our 2nd day with Hanoi was the highlight of the boat trip. The driver took us to Hanoi from early morning, we had a walking food tour at lunch time which was very nice. Our guide took us to the Old town and stopped to have different kinds of local food.
Excellent in overall and we did have a great time.

Wonderful guide and tour - An excellent day with VTT. Our driver met us and drove us to Hanoi. We met Ann and she was the real host of Hanoi who brought us to visit the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum; temples and pagoda. Ann told us a lot about the history and culture of Vietnam and her English was great (maybe the best among the guides we met).
Lunch was at a cozy restaurant in the old town. We had a wonderful tricycle tour after the lunch to visit the old town, It was very scary in beginning but once we got used to the traffic in Hanoi, it was the most wonderful part of the tour.
Ann also took us to the hidden part of Hanoi which is on the train route. Quite strange that people here live on the 2 sides of the train. A place we may never visit if we go with others.
What we really liked about the tour was the transfer on the highway and was pretty quick with just 2 hours drive from Halong to Hanoi without any stop. we got others staying on the same cruise with us booked the tour spent almost 4 hours to go to Hanoi.
All in all, I've had a great experience with my family on this tour, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Hanoi with their families.

Avoid this tour - Disaster from beginning to end. There was a total lack of communication between us and the company. Our guide was late during which time our driver was pulled out of the van and detained by the police. The guide did not inform as where we were going from stop to stop and we had to ask where we were going next. He did not seem to be well-informed about and of the sights. This was the worst experience we’ve ever had.
