Fantastic experience - Fantastic time with Hera cruises. Chose the 2 night cruise. Full itinerary, never got bored. Lots to see and do. Felt well looked after by the crew especially the manager Tuan Anh. Amazing views. Room was clean and spacious. Loved every minute. Highly recommend.

Unforgettable Ha Long Bay experience - A truly magical Ha Long Bay cruise with Hera Classic! The natural beauty was breathtaking, but what made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service. Mr. Dan, the manager, did an excellent job - his calm presence, professionalism, and attention to every detail made the journey smooth and relaxing. The entire crew was kind, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, making every guest feel special. Meals were delicious and beautifully presented, and the sunset on the top deck was pure magic. This cruise is a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and natural wonder. I highly recommend it - unforgettable in every way!

Lovely 2-day cruise on Halong Bay with Hera - We had a great time on the 1 night Hera cruise. The crew were really hospitable, particularly manager Dan and also Tuan Anh. The food on board was really tasty and our room was perfect: clean, air conditioned and with a balcony. There was also a good itinerary of activities. Would definitely recommend if you are planning on going to Halong Bay!

Recommended cruise, tourism excesivi - The cruise very well, the food and the cabins, although old are very comfortable. What I didn't like was the mass tourism in the excursions.

Very good cruise - poor transfers - The actual cruise was excellent. The staff, the food and the facilities were all very, very good. Unfortunately, many other companies are providing / completing the same tour. Therefore, whenever you get off the boat, you're in lines and it's very crowded. Whilst this is not something the cruise company can really control, it did, however, distract from the overall experience. I was surprised that when the trip booked included all the food, that there was no water provided during meals. And no tea or coffee with breakfast. Each of these needed to be purchased at additional cost. Whilst I would expect and happily pay for alcohol, soft drinks and any special coffees etc., I would have thought that water and basic tea or coffee with breakfast would be provided. I also booked transfers. With the company to and from the hotels I was staying at. These were not handled as well as the cruise. My main concern was with the transfer after the cruise, where we waited nearly an hour before the transfer showed up (after the scheduled arrival time. Then, after an hour or so. - we stopped at a tourist shopping center. This was purely designed for us to spend more money. We were shunted off the bus for half an hour. The vast majority of the passengers were very surprised and annoyed. I expect this when travelling on cheap tours around Asia. However, it was totally unexpected on a transfer between a cruise finishing and the hotel that we were staying at. I would have booked a private transfer if this was known from the start. Over 5 hours from the time the boat docked to arriving at our hotel, rather than 2.5 hours is ridiculous.

Totally disappointed and a complete waste of time and money. - From arriving at the port we were alarmed at the poor condition of the boats. We were booked on the Classic boutique boat or as the boat sign said Classi, as the ‘C’ had fallen off. A few days earlier we had been contacted by the company and asked to move to their second boat , with the offer of a room upgrade. However when we realised that this boat was the same one that we had initially seen we started to wonder what condition the Classic would be in. We had researched quite a bit and to a large extent had referenced TripAdvisor review comments. I am totally at a loss how there are so many 5* reviews and nothing less then a 4. After reading a few again it became clear to me there was a pattern within the reviews. I will let you draw your own conclusions about that. We expected a cabin with a balcony , considering the price we paid , and the fact that other cruise cabins for much less all had balconies. The room was one the bottom deck , very small and only had a window that would not open. It was also located close to the engine room where the door was never closed. Consequently you have the noise continually. The room condition, at best was average, although the bed linen was clean. The deck area , especially around the dining area was very dirty and could not have been cleaned for a long time. Tables also , frequently, dirty with empty drinks glasses on them. Happy hour is a strange setup where you buy 2 drinks and get one free. I ordered 2 cocktails which when served contained no trace of alcohol. I tried to explain but to be avail so I ordered 2 more , this time standing at the bar and watching how they were made. I again explained the first cocktails were just fruit juice, but it fell on deaf ears. At the lunch we ordered two white wines but the manager suggested we get a bottle which would be stared and we could use with our dinner. At dinner, after the fruit juice alcohol devoid cocktail, I asked for the white wine . At the 2 glasses arrived with a bill to sign. I explained we had a bottle already. At the end of the meal a virtually empty bottle of white wine arrived. Too late and I just sent it away. The food on the boat was ok and I could not say anything more complimentary. I the company sent me a text to check that all was ok. I informed then I wanted to leave the next morning as this tour fell way below our expectations. They again offered to transfer to the other, more luxurious, boat, However as we had already seen the condition of that at dock, we realised it would be just the same. They then offered another upgrade but there was no way we could stay. Neither of the public toilets had had toilet role or towels to dry your hands on. Next morning , having both woke with banging headaches, caused I suspect by the lack of clean air in the tiny room, we decided that we would not risk any further food as it was-3 hour drive back to Hanoi. However, we did ask for a tea. Which arrived with another bill to sign. I have never. In all my travels, been asked to pay for a cup of tea at breakfast, all inclusive !!! In fairness the staff and particularly the tour director did all they could with the poor product they weee delivering. When the boat docks there is , at max, a 1:30 turnaround before the next passengers get on board. I cannot see how any measure of real cleaning could be carried out in such a short window of time
