Thien Canh Son Cave - Sitting in the protected area of Cong Do, which belongs to Bai Tu Long Bay, Thien Canh Son Cave is one of the most well-known tourist’s attractions in the region. The cave is renowned for its beautiful and unspoiled beauty.

Going inside the cave, you will be overwhelmed by an almost surreal wonderland with incredible stalactites and natural images resembling a lotus and a baby elephant. Your creativity and imagination will be challenged with numerous stalactites and stones in various shapes and sizes. Especially, the ceiling of the cave appears like a shining carpet in which sparkling stalactites hanging drooping like natural hanging lamps.

It is because of the cave’s incredibly dreamlike beauty that some of Halong Bay cruises choose to bring its passengers to explore the geological value, take amazing photos, and organize a special dinner for families or friends in sparkling candlelight.

Hang Luon Cave - Many tourists suppose that Luon Cave is like a gate opening a wonderland with water and limestone mountains in Halong Bay. Crossing Luon Cave, all the tiredness and exhaustion of tourists are left outside so that they can find their souls connecting with nature.

Luon Cave is like a tunnel that is 100 meters in length, 4 meters in width and 3 meters in height. Compared to other caves in Halong Bay, Luon Cave is not a large one, but it is an exclusive cave that contains mysterious things. This cave is located at the foot of an imposing mountain, and to reach the other side of the island, tourists have to go on a boat passing under the mountain. Therefore, the cave is called “Luon Cave’. Luon Cave is the arch-shaped entrance leading to a tranquil lake, which is about 1 square kilometer. Enclosed by high mountains, this lake is protected from the waves and winds of the ocean, and the water surface is relatively gentle.

Dark & Light Cave - Sat at the edge of Halong Bay, Dark & Light Cave can be found in Lan Ha Bay. Lan Ha Bay is a few kilometers away from the more frequently visited caves and closer to Cat Ba National Park, so it may take an hour or two to get here from other caves. Once you arrive, a dazzling combination of white limestone karsts, emerald green waters and the dark mystery of the caves create a wonderful atmosphere making this a trip worth taking. The cave is named Dark & Light Cave because it’s actually a system made up of two separate caves. Dark Cave is 100 meters long with very little natural or artificial light so you will need a flashlight inside! Light Cave, on the other hand, is considerably shorter and has tonnes of natural light beaming through gaps and holes in the rock making it feel like a church carved by Mother Nature herself. Light Cave is always accessible whereas Dark Cave is sometimes swallowed by the tide.

The people of Vung Vieng have lived on the floating village for generations, living a quiet life and making a living from the sea. More recently, growth in local tourism has meant that there’s more money to be made for Vung Vieng locals and many are living better lives than ever before. More affluent residents have tiled houses, television sets and nice furniture. Visitors to Vung Vieng will find themselves immersed in the heart of the most stunning part of Halong Bay, surrounded by authentic Halong culture. Vung Vieng is the perfect place for travelers hoping to experience local life.

Sung Sot Cave - The cave can be found on the island of Bo Hon, along with another popular Halong cave, Trinh Nu. From the dock below, visitors must climb 50 stairs to the grotto’s mouth, which is just 25 meters above the sea. Sung Sot Cave is divided into two chambers; the first chamber, known as the “Waiting Room” is vast, adorned by stalagmites and stalactites and lit by multicolored lights positioned to complement the chamber’s structural beauty In order to reach the second chamber, visitors must walk down a narrow passageway. The second chamber is known as the “Serene Castle”. This chamber is large and grand with an extremely high ceiling and has many interesting rock formations which locals identify by likening them to animals due to their shapes.

Lan Ha Bay - Lan Ha Bay is made up of around 300 karst islands and limestone sea rocks and can be found southeast of Cat Ba Island. Nice cruise in Ha Long Bay - The Crew was very friendly end we enjoyed the time on the boat. The activities was fine. Unfortunately a bit short time for swimming but that is due to regulations from the government I was told. Food very good and drinks affordable. All in all a good experience. The only downside is the pollution in the water. The Vietnamese government should do more to remove garbage that flows in the water. It disturbs the experience of the very pretty Ha Long Bay.
