• Flower and Flour - After spending 30-40 minutes to buy flowers, we will take a short ride (10 minutes) to my studio. Once there, I will show you how to hydrate the flowers. I will explain some basics of flower arrangement while you have light lunch and tea. When the flowers are ready we can start to arrange our flowers to create a nice table arrangement. Usually I will start with a demonstration for you to observe and reference from. You don’t need to bring anything, as everything will be provided.

The flower arrangement you create can be taken home with you with the vase, if used. Only the scissors need to be returned.

Flower arrangement is easy to start although difficult to become very good at. For me, this is a perfect recipe for a fun hobby.

Netherlands boasts one of the most affordable and fresh blooms all around the country. Many people go to Keukenhof and Aalsmeer as travelers. But it’s not quite the full experience unless you buy market flowers, make something out of it and bring home a new hobby that can really lift your mood. This is why I do this program.

Experience the real Dutch flowers - buy them, bring them back and arrange something beautiful.

We will meet at the famous Haarlem Grote Markt during its most buzzing time - the Saturday market. So much varieties of flowers can be found here and that’s exactly what we will buy.

Many tourists visit this area for the famous Bavo Church and other historic buildings around the square. You are free to arrive earlier to look around on your own.

We then come to our studio, where some floral magic happens. I will tell you about my work as a florist that I do in my studio.

Using the flowers we bought together from the market, we will cut them and arrange beautiful bouquets together. This is an experience you can take home and enjoy for years and years. Every season brings new flowers and you can enjoy different flowers to decorate your home with creativity.

After the workshop, you are welcome to take home your creation. And I will arrange a car to bring you back to Haarlem station.
