The park welcomes 160 species of birds, among which large aquatic birds like the Spot-billed Pelican and Lesser Adjutant frequent the Kaudulla tank. The Asian Spoonbill, Grey-headed Fish Eagle, Black-headed Ibis, Painted Stork, and Openbill Stork are typical sights in the park. The park’s skyline is constantly adorned by Peacocks, Eagles, and Giant Eagles native to Sri Lanka. A visit to Kaudulla offers an unmatched touring experience.
