Situated several kilometers to the north of Sigiriya in Sri Lanka, Pidurangala is an enormous rock structure. It has a fascinating history that ties it closely to the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Ascending Pidurangala Rock is more physically demanding than scaling Sigiriya. But if you’re fit and love an adventure, this is a climb you wouldn’t want to miss. Expect the journey to take approximately two hours. However, do note that this site has fewer sights to offer than Sigiriya.

Good private tour to Pidurangala Rock, Sigiriya Rock and Dambulla Cave Temple - On the tour we first visited Pidurangala Rock, then Sigiriya Rock and finally the Dambulla Cave Temple. The driver Fazeel took very good care of everything and gave us a lot of interesting information.
