Delightful experience - Very professional outfit. The short pre ride video was very clear and instructive. The guide was excellent, with fluent English. The Icelandic horses are captivating, as is the landscape. It was lovely to be able to experience the tolt gait of these special creatures. You were able to pick the type of horse you wanted to ride: calm or more spirited, and separate off into a walking or tolting group of riders. Would recommend.

These Horses Are So Worth It - Perfect logistics. The shuttle bus was waiting for us at 850 (pick up at 9) and took us around to the other hotels, then off to the farm. Very efficient, we immediately watched the instructional video and got our horses. We were on the trail right at 10 (tour was supposed to start at 10, but since we all came from the bus we just started right away). They match you to a horse according to how experienced you tell them you are. After about 10 minutes you split into two groups: walking only or trot and walk. I went on the trot option. The landscape isn't the most exciting but I'm not sure if other tours around Reykjavík have more excitement. The group goes to a lookout and the leader girl takes pictures of you with your camera. There's mountains and volcanos and whatnot in the background. The horses in Iceland are well taken care of, with paid holidays, 3 hour work days, 2 days off per week, and a rest period after 1 hour of work. This picture taking activity is really for the horses, not for us. I was riding a horse for a full 2 hours. The video, matching, mounting, etc, was on top of the 2 hours. Def worth your money. Iceland horses are very different from horses everywhere else in the world. This is a must do, however if you have time I would suggest doing this activity elsewhere in Iceland. But, even if you do this in Reykjavík like I did, still worth it.

Great experience one not to miss! - Wonderful experience. The staff was knowledgeable, professional very friendly. The horses were well taken care of and well loved. They are gentle and well trained to follow the trail. The group split into two separate groups based on Reiter experience. So for people who want to experience the unique Icelandic gait And trot at a fast pace this is also a great experience. For those who have never written before or who enjoy a more leisurely trail ride also enjoy a ride through beautiful backcountry of Iceland.

Great for Riders of All Abilities! - This tour was perfect from start to finish. They worked with us to pick us up from our hotel that was not originally listed as an option, and transport to the farm was easy. From there, they showed a video about how to work with the horses and basic riding instruction before they suited us up with boots, helmets and optional weather gear (this tour didn't cancel for the light rain we encountered). The best part was that the instructors were very attentive to riding ability. Our group split up a few different times based on those abilities, so I got to experience a faster pace and different route with my small group, while others continued on a leisurely pace. The guides were wonderfully attentive, took photos for us, and knew plenty of facts about the horses and landscape. Highly recommend this tour!!!
