Best trip we did in Iceland - BEST THING WE DID! This was incredible, I was a complete beginner and our instructors were amazing with me, the horses were absolutely beautiful and the scenery was out of this world. Would HIGHLY recommend was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much!

Horse friends experiencing Icelandic horses - Fantastic experience riding in beautiful countryside. Experienced the Tolt gait. They separated the non riders from the experienced which was good as it allowed us to do more. Would have liked to do some canter / gallop but unfortunately didn’t get to presumable due to some riders not being as confident.

Magical Experience - It was wonderful. It was magical. After a physically exhausting day, the spa experience at Sky lagoon was wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone.

A Must Do in Iceland if you love Animals or hidden track beauty - The horses are gorgeous and the guides are very helpful, knowledgable and caring. Thank you for taking care of me Barbara! The actually ride and the sights were beautiful. It was super windy and cold but exhilarating and wonderful.

Beautiful walk through a... - Beautiful walk through a winter wonderland, even the tour guides were taking photos! Only drawback was my toes were freezing by the end of the, but there’s nothing you can do about that!

Horse ride - We had a really lovely afternoon here today. We were given a horse and shown how to get on to it. Then we all set off together through the beautiful scenery. Some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The snow was sparkling like glitter. My horse was called Patti and he was very good and looked after me the whole time. Not wanting to go fast. We stay with the slow group and walked around the picturesque loop. With passing horses doing the wonderful tolt I was quite envious wishing I could ride a horse. No problems with connection and drop off. This was streamlined no waiting about at all. Perfect afternoon. Thank you

Beautiful Trail Ride - This was such a neat experience. The Icelandic horses at Is Hestar are very social and calm. The trail ride through the countryside was stunning. My tour guide was kind, informative, and patient and took the time to get great photos of us all. This is something I would do again - I enjoyed it so much!

NBR1 horse riding tour! The best Icelandic Horse experience you will have! - ABSOLUTELY NBR 1 TOUR for the Icelandic Horse riding experience! Over two weeks in Iceland, I rode Icelandic Horses with 3 different tour companies and this one is by far, the best. "Ishestar". Beautiful natured horses that are very well looked after and what makes the difference when I compared to two other horse riding tours, is Ishestar's Icelandic horses show their own personality and characteristics unlike a robot 'made-to' personality. Each have their own character and personality. A very safe riding tour with a group of experienced riding instructors, not just 1 or maybe 2 like other riding tour operators/competitors have, but you ride with a group of riding instructors. Fantastic and absolutely stunning area of Iceland that you ride through too. The riding guides are warm, helpful and friendly supporting riders that go out of their way to make sure you are having a great time on your horse, keep riding back and forth along the line on the way. I had a fantastic Polish lady as my regular riding guide checking in on me. She had been working there for 7 years and loved being a horse riding instructor, riding since she was 6 years old. I felt safe the whole time on Bilting and in the line of other riders attending. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this riding group and we had a very lengthy time of socialising and getting to know the horse you would be riding and then a great length of time riding over unique tracks. The biggest highlight was my cuddly young mare Bilting. Gosh I really could have brought her back home :-) LOL. A very professional, warm, welcoming and highly managed Icelandic Horse team here... and the staff & riding guides appreciate people coming along to ride their horses. A modern and immaculate reception & waiting room with as much tea, coffee & hot chocolate as you would like. A very informative video of safety at the start, amazing the thought that has gone into all of this experience for the Icelandic Horse rider coming along to Ishestar Icelandic Horse riding tours. The shop has beautiful unique items on offer. This tour operator, Ishestar, is well ahead of the rest. Get to know a furry and fun piece of Iceland’s history - Very fun way to see the outskirts of Reykjavik and experience a piece of Icelandic history on horseback. It was great learning about the unique Icelandic Horses while riding through beautiful scenery.

Fantastic - I absolutely loved this experience, the views were incredible and the staff were great. Bare in mind that these animals can be unpredictable, like all animals, so do not take the intermediate course if you cannot be certain on handling the horse if it decides to buckle, it can be scary!
